Good food. No ambiance at all. Very utilitarian dinning but prices are reasonable and the staff is very polite. I have never had a bad meal here.
Best Korean in Rochester. Hidden in an industrial area, Young's offers a friendly, casual atmosphere with excellent food. Although our daughters have dined there frequently, we opted for takeout. We had fairly standard bulgoki, but what was outstanding was a spicy chicken dish (number 6 on the menu). Upon pickup, they offered to double-up on the sides, kimchi, tofu, bean sprouts, etc., once they heard that we enjoy them. All were good, hot, and tasty.
I used to go to Seoul Garden and it slowly got worse over time, did not enjoy my meal in May of this year I believe it changed ownership. This was the first time I have been to Youngs and I am so glad I gave it a chance. The food is great, portions generous and it is very quick. There is a downloadable menu on rocwiki if you want order takeout. Tried the Mandu-gui, kimchi bokimbab, and yookgaejang, will definitely be back for bbq!
Although it was a new experience, dinner was quite good. Food was piping hot and spicy. The complementary spread of different sprouts and tofu was unique.
Better than Seoul Garden but still far from real Korean food
Best place for Korean food in Rochester ♡ such good comfort food. People who work there are soooo considerate and sweet
This is by far the best Korean restaurant I have tried in Rochester, NY. Every time, I visit my parents, this is on my list of places to eat at while I am home. I have had the privilege to know the Young family for many years. They both are such hard workers and bring authentic food culture of Sourh Korea to America. Their recipes are true to Korean culture. Thank you for all that you do. ❤️Good luck to your amazing business.
Update, we went back again because it was sooo good. We tried some more dishes- black bean noodle was great and so was the yukgaejang. Their soups are incredibly flavorful. We’ll probably go one more time before we leave Rochester this week.
They only take reservations to keep it safe and also manageable. Call in advance.
Wow! I didn’t expect to have great Korean food in Rochester. We had kimchi casserole, spicy cod soup, spicy Galbi soup, and Galbi. Totally delicious and the side dishes were tasty too. I would definitely go back the next time I’m in town.
A very authentic Korean restaurant! Absolutely love their Pork-Bulgogi. One caveat is that you need to make a reservation to dine in, there’s no walk-in available to this restaurant. Definitely recommend to people who love Korean dishes in Rochester area!
Lovely owners.
Incredibly kind and caring people and it makes a difference for their service and cuisine. Love every bite of the mandu, scallion salad, and kimchi pancake. The vegetable SunDu Chigae and the special shrimp cakes were wonderful.
Thank you for delightful dinner
On the advice of a Korean friend, our family headed to Young’s and what a wonderful experience we had. Young’s is tucked away in a light industrial/ office area in Henrietta. We were impressed as we entered Young’s and were warmly greeted & seated. We ordered a veggie PaJun crispy pancake that was unbelievably unique & tasty. For our entrees, we order Dol Sot Bi Bim Bob tofu, chicken & beef bowls in hot stoneware. Once again these dishes were all were perfectly prepared and very unique to us. Service was excellent and prices are moderate. Young’s is open for lunch & dinner and reservations are requested. If you are looking for authentic Korean, we highly recommend Young’s.
Authentic dishes and lots of dishes to choose from !
Mom and pop small restaurant ( maybe 25 seats total ?) tucked away by itself .Great food excellent service and large portions of delicious food . What’s not to like ?
Slightly spartan atmosphere, otherwise would have been 5 stars across the board!
This place is legit. Make sure you call ahead with a reservation. It was just me and my fellow white friend surrounded by Korean American families. Service was fast and efficient. It's not gorgeous in there by Western standards during the day buy the food makes up for it!
Every time I've eaten here, it's been great! They feed you like Koreans eat. Multiple sides to accompany the main dish(es). They also have the BEST Kimchi I've eaten!
Some of the best Korean food I've ever had, the owner's are so kind, and they truly care about your experience.
It is just two folks running the whole show, so they appreciate a call ahead.
Their food is not only amazing when dining in, but to go and catering for our business lunches are excellent as well!
Definitely give them a try, a true hidden gem.
