Dac Hoa Restaurant - Rochester - Photo album

Authentic Chinese BBQ! What a surprise! The owners are Cantonese Chinese born in vietnam. They specialize in Chinese BBQ and make everything in house. We had the duck, honey bbq pork, and Roast pig, all were excellent. Check out the pic of the duck. Very little fat. Amazingly done . The roast pigl
Great family run restaurant. The service is relaxing, relatively direct and friendly. The hot tea was served right away and the menu suggestions were solid. Definitely recommend if you are in Rochester and looking for a great Asian restaurant as they serve Chinese and Pho.
We walked into a quiet restaurant just opening up. The friendly staff greeted, sat, and served us water and then warm tea. They were extremely helpful and willing to provide food recommendations; be sure to give their recommendations strong consideration. The shrimp spring rolls were good, and the p
If you're in downtown Rochester and looking for some authentic Vietnamese food Dac Hoa is a great choice. The dumplings are hand made, get them pan fried instead of steamed and you'll be in heaven. Being an authentic Asian restaurant if you order the roasted duck it will have bones in it, just a pre
I went here with several friends yesterday to get some Pho because the other more notable places were closed. I would not recommend getting Pho here. This is basically a Chinese food place that serves some Vietnamese dishes as well. They have two menus, a Chinese food menu and also a Vietnamese food
This place is so awesome. The loveliest older couple run it and they make everything from scratch. We stumbled upon it on a rainy evening and they opened the restaurant to take me and my friends. The food is all handmade and you can tell they are hardworking immigrants who just want to provide a goo
Place doesn't look like much, but very authentic and delicious food. The duck pho was great and I cannot wait to go again and try their other dishes.
Amazing food! Very friendly. Freshly prepared and made to order. This is not a fast food type place and the taste of the food and presentation was amazing and worth the wait. Can't wait to go back!
Great food served by a couple that you can tell is very proud of what they offer. I strongly recommend the dumplings and roast pork. The dumplings are clearly handmade and it shows. They are of high quality and made with love. Thank you to the owners that were kind enough to welcome me in on this co
I had a very good, authentic, beef chow fun without gravy there today. It is a simple but difficult dish to make, and although I had better ones in Hong Kong, this is Rochester, and almost impossible to get authentic Chinese dishes. It hit the spot for me. Highly recommended.
Best Vietnam restaurant in Rochester! Always want to go there whenever I am there.
Super delicious, not expensive, friendly people. Sure, not quick, but worth the wait. If you are in a rush, or want fancy because you are loaded and a superstar, don't come here and ruin the experience of us taking the time to enjoy our meal.
Dac Hoa has been my favorite Vietnamese restaurant for years. The friendly staff and expert cooks prepare the finest in Vietnamese fare. I have eater fresh springs rolls in many countries, including Vietnam. They are the very best at this place. Their BBQ duck is the finest around. Also highly recom
Delicious roast duck with horrible sauce goes with it! Fortunately the sauce is by side. I would recommend plum sauce or other fresh sauce to give you a fresh taste. Because duck is oily. Most duck is oily so I don’t blame it. Pho tastes strange with a mixed Chinese and Vietnamese style, not recom
My real rating was a 3.5 but I have a soft spot of places ran by the elderly so I rounded the score up. Personally, I ordered the Duck Pho and 2 Shrimp Rolls. I must say the shrimp rolls and the sweet and sour sauce was amazing! The sauce itself makes you want to buy more fried rolls. The best part
After several decades of service to the community, Dac Hoa has permanently closed due to the retirement of the owners. The phones are disconnected and signs in the window indicate they have closed down. It will be missed by the many of us who have eaten there for over 20 years.
Service was a little slow but it was well worth the wait. Had the #32 Pho it had great flavor without having to add anything else to it. And the Seafood Pho it was made with fresh shrimp, scallops and squid. The Squid was bland but other wise a very enjoyable experience will definitely come back.
