I attended a baby shower at Monroes, the food and service was outstanding. We were in the older part of the restaurant with old school historic Erie Canal charm. I have been here many times and they never fail to please. It's one of my favorites.
Portions were big the risotto was slightly undercooked but everything was flavorful. Scallops were great. Drinks were magnificent. I would recommend and will definitely come back.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was incredible, but there were a few things that did let this place down. The serving size is huge here; don't expect to finish your whole meal. Hadn't ever had a chance to eat here. We tried just stopping in on a Friday or Saturday a few times. Well that's a mistake. Most of the time they said they couldn't seat us till 830 and here it was 530 and plenty of seats open. So we finally made a reservation and went on a Saturday night. Got there
