Giuseppe's food is Great! There is nothing i did not like about it as soon as you walk in there is a bakery but it is also a sit down restaurant small place great food i would definitely recommend the chicken French
Firrst of all, while they do have takeout available, this is a sitdown restaurant. Not sure why it is called "Giuseppe's Takeout" here. Very good Italian family place, a loyal following for many years (their hard to find location, a relatively recent move, shows you that their customers seek them out). And...they have a full bakery next door, attached to the restaurant!
Service was phenomenal! Food came out quick and hot. Even when the restaurant is actually closed there's tables to sit and eat. Every one was friendly. A welcoming environment. I had steak and lasagna. My friend had chicken French and both dishes left you yearning for more. Food for everyone with hearty portions ❤️
Soup portion was smaller than I expected, yet still satisfying. I had Italian wedding.
There is a takeout counter with breads, pizza by the slice, pastries, and cannoli. I sat down, and service was very good.
You are given fresh bread, which was soft and tasty.
I ordered gnocchi with meatball and a sausage, as well as salad with their house dressing, balsamic.
The salad was fresh and dressing was mild but good.
The gnocchi was clearly homemade. The sauce had flavors of tomato and garlic. The meatball was perfect to what should be expected, and the sausage had just a touch of spice. I would love to order here again!
I have gotten take out foods and I am always very satisfied. Their breads, calzones and desserts are so tasty and filling. The people who work there are kind and happy to wait on you. They get very busy, sometimes there's a wait. Worth it!!!!!

Best pizza I ever had in Rochester. I have been to several pizza places, today I thought giving this restaurant a shot. I’ve ordered chicken pizza. Its topped with hot and sweet sauce. It’s really awesome and delicious. Usually I never eat full pizza, but this is the first time I had whole pizza. Cheese seems really fresh and authentic. They gave us a complimentary of bread and butter. Bread tasted fresh. Overall it’s one of the best Italian restaurant. Worth it!!
I've been going to Giuseppe's for years and the place has always been great. The food there is consistently good, and the service is always relatively quick—it's quite busy at times but there's never been an unreasonable wait. The pick-up is just as good as the dine-in, as well, and I've never had an issue.
Ordered food for our son’s graduation party(buffet #2..3 meats) it was fantastic. We got many compliments from family and friends. Jenny is sweet and great to deal with. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. Food was on time.
3rd visit here. One of my "go-to" places when I want good Italian food that tastes more homemade than "restaurant". The service is fast, friendly and the servers are very attentive. The portions are generous and it's a good idea to wear something that you are comfortable in because you will be full when you leave. We ordered the Chicken Parm, siciliano style calamari and Spaghetti Parmesan... obviously we had to take some home, we tapped out at the table.
Amazing food! A living legend in Rochester, offering down home authentic Italian food and ambiance. The staff is personable, engaging and attentive. Thank you Guiseppe's for putting so much passion into all your menu items.
I didn't like the food that much because I think there's something missing with the flavors. Hoping to try more pizza on the menu!
