Bacco's Ristorante

This is, HANDS DOWN, one of the absolute best restaurants I have ever been to. I took my brother here when he visited a few months ago, and we still haven't stopped gushing to our parents about how great of an experience it was. Our waiter, Giovanni, made us feel at home, like we were old friends that he was so excited to see again, even though we had just met. He called us by name and ensured that we were comfortable and were enjoying ourselves. I have dietary restrictions, and he helped me to order something I knew I would safely enjoy. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough if you want just an exceptional dining experience.

DELICIOUS! Rochester has a lot of good Italian restaurants and this is one of the top. We called ahead for a 8pm reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. We did get some warm bead to start. Both the entrees are AMAZING AND RICH soooo creamy! The four cheese penne is a must! For dessert you can not go wrong with the creme brûlée!

Not from the area. A friend recommended this place and I am so glad we went! Everything was outstanding. From start to finish everything was perfect. Called, arrived there 5 minutes later and had a table. Service from everyone was exactly how it should be everywhere! Our server Ashley made the experience great. On to the food... OMG the food was delicious wine was delicious. Highly highly recommended. I would drive back to Rochester to eat here 100 times! Awesome place.

Some might be put off with the portion sizes but this is a very cosy and intimate Italian meal nonetheless. We had the salmon carpaccio and mussels for appetizers, then veal gorgonzola, grouper bake and seafood pasta with dessert. If you aren't concerned with having leftovers then a meal here would be a good one.

Bacco's is the place my work chums and I go for our annual luncheon soiree. Every year Giovanni treats us like family. Every dish is well prepared and a genuine treat. This year we started with a nice bruschetta, Caprese and beans and greens with sausage. The balsamic reduction in the Caprese was outstanding. We had squid ink risotto with clams, outstanding! Calimari in Sicilian and Greek presentations were fun to compare. We greatly enjoyed the Grouper and the shrimp fra diavolo. The desserts were outstanding as were the fine wines we sampled. This restaurant is a gem please be sure to visit sometime soon.

You walk in and you immediately feel like you've just walked into your grandfathers for dinner. It can be crowded and a little noisy but then again, I think that's just part of the experience. The staff actually seem happy to help you, and to be at work. The food is wonderful, esp the Caprese! This place is now one of my staples, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it as well.

Came in early on a Friday evening, no need for a reservation as it was during a slow time of year. Was greeted personally by the owner, a very hospitable and pleasant man who checked back on us regularly. Service was quick and friendly, and was able to recommend things in detail. I'd heard a few complaints about the bread before but we found it to be delicious. My wife & I went through 3 baskets! The actual meals were very good. I got chicken & roast potatoes in a kind of creamy balsamic sauce. It was incredibly rich and the portion was thankfully big enough but not overwhelming. Hadn't tasted anything like it before, real genuine stuff. The restaurant decor was cute and intimate, almost as if you're in someone's living room. All in all we found it to be a great experience, genuine Italian cooking with excellent service for a very reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone who wants a real Italian dining experience.
