This place is a hidden gem. The food is AMAZING. For fish and seafood lovers, the nightly specials are awesome. For appetizers, the shrimp greco, absolutely wonderful and edamame ravioli is like heaven. Best prime rib on Rochester. The service is always spot on and the drink specials, well they have the best bartender in Rochester with a creative drink menu. If you have not had the opportunity to come to Bernards, come because it is so worth it.
Food was spectacular, service was on point( bus girls were great) and the bar... never disappoints! ..... simply awesome! Great food and drinks with great family and friends!
I had a special family get-together the other night and everyone at Bernard's Grove made it even more special. Fourteen people at my table and every single one raved about his or her meal. We had prime rib, shrimp, Queen Steak (I don't know the actual names of each menu item--my first time there), veal, some plate with onion rings piled high on the meat...I'm sure we hit almost every menu item. The service was professional and prompt. The ambiance was warm and pleasant. This is my place to go from now on. Thank you, Bernard's Grove!!
I love this place. The food is always excellent, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the people are the best. I recommend it to everyone. It's a family favorite.

Husband and I had the prime rib. Was delicious. Cooked perfectly. I had the creme brulee for desert. Was very good. Service was spot on. Wait and bus staff quick and friendly. Will go again. Next time I want to try the salmon and black rice. Nice dining experience. House dressing for salad, lemon basil (yogurt) I think. Was absolutely heavenly.
A favorite place for me and my lady Gail. Love the family and their great staff. The food never dissapoints, great menu and the "specials" are always appealing.
We had the best meal last night 3/14. I always enjoy Bernard's Grove and the owners and staff are just lovely. One of the best restaurants in Rochester.
From start to finish this was the best dining experience we've had in years. The food was phenomenal, the service was excellent, and Shannon made us feel like family. We will be back!

The wife had Alaskan King Crab legs, I had prime rib and lobster tail. The food was amazing. Friendly attentive staff. Loved our evening and meal.
I love the food and the people here. The steaks melt in my mouth and I can honestly say - Bernard's Grove, in my opinion, is better than at least one of the best steakhouses in NYC, as we ate in NYC last week and I commented to my husband, "This is really good, I prefer Bernard's Grove because their steak melts in my mouth."

The food was outstanding! Truly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had in my life - the ribeye special was served hot, well-seasoned, perfectly cooked, and buttery melt-in-your-mouth texture. The shrimp and crab bisque, croquette, and Caesar salad were all really great too. I had a hard time deciding what to get for dessert because everything sounded incredible - went with the creme brûlée and it did not disappoint! Portion sizes for everything were generous - we both came home with leftovers. Quality, taste, beautiful presentation, and portion size were all on par for the prices and exceeded expectations. The owner was so great and really wonderful to talk to as well! There’s a lovely outdoor seating area when weather is nice, and the atmosphere inside is warm and cozy - everyone feels like a friend. Definitely make a reservation in advance and plan to enjoy a drink at the bar while you wait for your table because it gets packed. Our drinks (regular brandy old fashioneds) were $12 each and that felt a little pricey for what they were, but fine for a special night out. If you’re opposed to credit card fees, bring cash. Great find - a really special place. I can absolutely see why they have regulars!
The service is fantastic. They are prompt to check on you without hovering and care about your experience. The food is amazing. I had the Char Grilled Black Angus Fillet. The fillet came cooked perfectly to order and the red wine Demi glaze was outstanding. The fresh vegetables were perfectly cooked and consisted of squash strips, eggplant strips and red pepper strips. My GF had the char-grilled porterhouse pork chop. The rice was slightly below her standard but being Puerto Rican, she is a bit of a rice snob. The apples were a bit sour but added a nice contrast to the chop.
Overall, this is a high recommend. The place needs an aesthetic update but you can’t eat the decor.
The only bad thing I can say if forced is that my butter for the bread was served right out of the fridge and would have destroyed the warm bread. I asked for it to be warmed up a bit and the waitress had no issue. Again, great service with a smile.
Food was delicous. Wish they had list of specials to hand out other than telling customers and telling prices. Should also advise of surcharge for paying with charge card before paying.
Delicious food but pricey. Hardly any one there as we went during the week. Good wine selection. Not much in the beer line. Been around forever and it feels that way. Even several of the staff! Needs a facelift, updates, etc
This restaurant is a perfect GEM in North Greece, NY. The owner, and staff take excellent care of all of their patrons. The ambiance outside is perfection, with soft music, and a gorgeous display of flora, on a very lovely deck. It was like a true vacation. We ordered a lovely bottle of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, and started off with oysters, so fresh, that I felt I was off the Northern Atlantic. We then ordered the Filet Mignon with Bacon, and whipped Yukon Gold Potatoes, and fresh summer vegetables, and the Mahi-Mahi over a bed of coconut jasmine rice, with a kiwi-avacado mango chutney. The Filet, while good, was just a tad dry (we ordered medium rare), but it was encrusted beautifully, with a sauce that was a savory delight. The bacon flavor was delicate, and didn't overshadow the meat. I think the star of the night was the Mahi-Mahi. Originally the menu of the day featured it to be Swordfish, but I think the Mahi was a far better choice. It was seared wonderfully, and the chutney was outstanding. But what really was the stunner was the coconut infused jasmine rice. This was the piece that pulled this meal together. We were completely full after dinner, but lingered over the bottle of wine, as I think we didn't want to leave. It felt we were on a vacation, but to a familiar place, and one which I would like to return.

Had to update this review! As usual an amazing service the other night! Our server Jamie is always the best and the food has never been less then amazing. Had to add my pics! Crab cakes, filet and salmon. Sorry about the first bite missing on the salmon.. couldn't wait to dive in.

The food here is always good. You pay the price but totally worth it if it's a special occasion. I had lobster tail and filet mignon which were perfectly cooked. My husband had the scallops again perfectly cooked. But with those two meals and three drinks it cost us $200! Do not go if you're on a budget. Budgets don't work well here. But I will say the food was perfect.
Bernard's Grove is an excellent local fine dining restaurant. The service is great and the staff are very personable.
The owners are hands on and very involved as well.
The food is awesome! We had yellow fin tuna, veal, and crab cakes. Every part of the meal was prepared to perfection. Then for dessert we had a peanut butter mousse. It was awesome!
I highly recommend going here for a nice evening out for any special occasion or just for a great dinner.
Always a great meal! Last night our hostess was amazing (wish I knew her name for mention) and our server Megan was super knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Service can really make or break an experience and ours was excellent last night!

New owners took over about a month ago and we were so happy to meet MJ who met us at the door and really treated us like family without knowing if it was our first visit or 50th.

The service at Bernard’s was top notch. Our table all got the prime rib. It was extremely good. If your in upstate New York, this place is a must stop.
First time going here, it was great. Server was awesome and very friendly. I tried the lunch special sandwich and it was amazing, I ate the whole thing. I would love to go back and try the dinner menu there! For lunch they have sandwiches, soups, and salads. Dinner menu specials looks so tasty. Wine list looks good too!
The host is an absolute sweetheart and the food is always delicious haven’t had a bad meal here love this place
While the building and decor is a little bit dated, it just adds to the experience being a little more cozy as opposed to detracting from it. Some of the best service I have received in a restaurant in the last few years and some of the best food I've had out as well!
