Black & Blue Steak And Crab

Unbelievable food and dining experience. I took my mother for a milestone birthday and we were treated like royalty the entire time. This is a great example of getting what you pay for and it comes in both quality of food and service. We ordered Waygu Meatballs and a Crab and Lobster Fondue as appetizers. They were to die for. Steaks across the board for the three of us; filet minon served perfect medium rare. This is a place to go for a special occasion as it will be made a memorable one.

Lamb was cooked great pork belly appetizer was amazing 4 stars is for the red snapper with sweet crab hash snapper was dry overcooked and dish was lacking a zing plain tasting had to add salt and pepper to it maybe some spicy citrus added would do it. But was still good. Restrooms very clean awesome fabulous staff. Will definitely be back

We went to Black & Blue for our anniversary dinner. Our table was ready on time and we were treated to complimentary champagne which was a nice surprise. Our servers are very personable and completely honest about the menu and drink options which we appreciated. My husband had surf and turf with a cut of beef he had never had. It was excellent. The lobster however was quite bland. My dinner was great also and we shared several sides that we enjoyed. This is a pricey place so we don’t go often but it’s a good place to celebrate an occasion. We will definitely return.

Great food and lovely place. Only drawback was that the upstairs was very cold. We had an amazing anniversary spent here and the food was absolutely amazing. Apps were just the right portion, the steak cooked to perfection, sides were exceptionally tasty and large, and they even comped out dessert for celebrating with them. Our servers were attentive and welcoming. We'll definitely be back.

There are a few outstanding items off the menu one is an amazing side sweet potato dumplings. This is a multi step process and layered with flavor. The time to prepare is obvious and decadent. The meats and seafood are outstanding. Service is excellent. The wine list is ample for all tastes. Many serve a chocolate lava cake, they have perfected it.

Had dinner here with my family here on Wednesday night. We made a reservation at 8:45 we arrived at 8:25pm and were seated immediately. This restaurant is absolutely beautiful! Shortly after being seated, our host Justin came over, introduced himself and went over the menu with us. We ordered, the salmon, half rack of lamb, crab soup and lobster mac n cheese. The lamb came out with two specialty sauces which I really enjoyed. The salmon was cooked to perfection and my mother really enjoyed the crab soup. My favorite dishes were definitely the lamb and the lobster mac, the lobster mac was filled with flavor and lobster, so good! Though it is not on the menu, I am glad I asked and was able to order it. We did not order dessert because we werw stuffed but I definitely plan on visiting again next time I am in Rochester. Thank you Justin for the amazing service!
