This is a hidden gem. If you like whole wheat sweet bread, this is the place to be. My favorite was the plain brown sugar bread.
Excellent bread from Michoacan Mexico, my native state were I was born. It's good to find something close to me that's far from home. We sell this bread at our parish and sells out all the time. I recommend it for enjoyment and to give as a gift to a family member or friend...🙏🏼😊
Oh-eme-je!! The guava empanada is soooo good!! Finger linking good. Me gusta mucho!
Best little Panaderia in the East Side. You can taste the joy the put into the pan dulce. Initially I did not want to post a review for fear of sharing my secret, pero una coza buena se tiene que compartir! Sorry no pics, will add soon, I always forget due to the excitement. 😋
The pinnacle of Mexican sweet bread. I have tried many - MANY Mexican bakeries.
They even have whole wheat conchas which are unexpectedly delicious.
Look over the exterior and enjoy the surprise inside.
Yesterday I was treated to a PUMPKIN EMPANANDA from Chela's Panaderia. It was so delicious I had to write this review. FRESH , GENEROUSLY FILLED AND SO TASTY. Took me back to my childhood. My mom made the best empanadas, but these were spot on!
I live in L.A. but will make the drive to Riverside soon.
This place is so legit. If you like fresh Mexico sweat bread you have to give this place a try. They also take cards 100% will be going back
One of the only bakeries to my knowledge that makes very delicious whole wheat bread! Their prices on their integral bread is really inexpensive and have a variety of other different styles of bread as well. Be advised though, the closer to their closing time, the less selection they have. I would suggest to visit a couple hours before closing time. Recommending this place for anyone that wants to enjoy a healthy choice of bread with their coffee.🥐+☕=❤
The panadería may be small, but the bread is delicious! My extended family visited over the holidays and they loved the bread. We had to take the half hour trip to get more, but it was definitely worth it. The bread is not your typical "pan dulce". Here the bread is much larger in size which I like because you can cut it in pieces so that people can try different flavors without feeling guilty.
