Review Original Cottage The Family Restaurant - Rimforest

Great pizza 🍕 and great salads. The server was nice and did a wonderful job. They serve so many different foods I'm going to have to go back many times to try them all. I saw a review that complained about the pricing but we have to realize that it's 2018 and mountain life costs a little bit more than down the hill and remember that the plates are loaded with enough food for a couple of meals. The picture shows a 14 inch medium pizza and the salad oval plate is 14 inches wide so we got at least 4 meals (probably 6-8) for less than 40.00......so enjoy anything you order because you probably will eat more of it later. Oh, and they serve breakfast until 3pm.

The best biscuits and gravy around here! The coffee is so good and everyone is always so nice and friendly. Definitely has the small town vibe where everyone knows everyone. Anytime we visit lake arrowhead we always come to this place for breakfast/brunch

Amazing service. Came here on a Sunday morning, the place was very busy but we got lucky and got seated pretty quickly. The place is somewhat outdated, but the food and the service made up for it and then some. Great experience. Highly recommended

Seriously the best lasagna I ever had! Make sure you add Alfredo sauce to it. Everyone at my table loved their meal. If you want italian go here!

We came to the cottage for dinner. The server's are adorable and very attentive. We've been here a hand full of times always get great service. Not to mention the food is great one of our favorite places to eat at. You definitely get a lot of food for your money.

First time at The Original Cottage. Nice cozy little place. The staff was uber friendly. The food wonderful with a homemade flair. Very happy to be introduced to the Cottage, will be returning.

The cottage was the best recommendation that we acted on. We got a cheese pizza for the kids and they just loved it. We also got the Lasagna pizza and the bacon chicken ranch pizza. I can't say enough about how good both pizza's were. We live down the mountain and will be going back for this place. The service was awesome and friendly. Can't wait till this "pandemic" is over so we can go and sit and experience the full effect that is "The Original Cottage Restaurant" Last thing I'll say is the Lasagna pizza is nothing short of a authentic Italian restaurant dish just in a pizza form. So so good.

The food here is always amazing and the staff are great! They try hard to be quick, but often service can be slow since a pizza oven takes some time to cook properly. If you're not in a rush, stay a while and enjoy! My favorite is the eggplant parmesan pizza and I was surprised at how good the antipasto salad is with the balsamic dressing! Even their basic marinara is just bursting with flavor. Highly recommend!

They told us it would be 30-45 minutes for two calzones and some garlic knots. Wow! These have to be some good items, right? So we sit there for about 30 minutes before we go to check on it at the register m. It was sitting on the counter, a receipt poking out the side, it said my name with “is waiting”. That was interesting but hey, whatever. I go to pay and she says it’s about $40. Wow again! Okay, these had better be good. First off, the calzones are massive. Likely 2-3 adults could work on just one, but we did not know that and had bought two plus some garlic knots. The calzones are really cheesy, the chicken parmigiana a nice breaded chicken with savory herbs. The vegetarian calzone had a low veggie content so vegetarians beware! The garlic knots are really balanced with the butter and cheese, and are nearly as addicting as you would think they are. One small issue is that the tips of the knots are dry or tough. Not sure how that happens but the centers are delicious. Not many vegetarian options so you may need to look elsewhere.

Was told of this places amazing pizza after a horrible experience and the neighboring town. As soon as I walked in a was constantly being slapped in the face by wonderful smells. The Server was so sweet and helpful, I loved talking with her. The items on the menu all looked good but chose to stick with pizza since that's when was recommended. Everything about the pizza was tasty. I look forward to bringing more of my family.
