This is a fantastic High Tea place to have brunch! Don’t be in a rush though. This is meant to take 1 to 1 1/2 hrs of relaxing and enjoying the best teas around. Everything is made in house from scratch. If you have a larger group call ahead first to set it up. If you like a wetter chicken salad just let her know as her default mix is a bit dryer so as to not make the bread soggy. Taste is AMAZING! Also, these are REAL scones that crumble and are not at all hard. Can’t recommend this enough!

The food and teas we've had are very tasty. The ambiance is French in nature. It's lovely!

Okay so we went here for breakfast one weekday. Seemed like the entire restaurant was being managed by one person. It took forever for them to take our order. The tea was good, cute China tea cups. All the food was microwaved and not fresh. I was excited to try this place but probably wont be back here.

What a lovely time my sister and I shared at High Biscuits before departing for our homes in different states following our midweek retreat in Jackson. It was the perfect ending to a perfect visit-- peaceful atmosphere, delicious tea, scrumptious scones and tea cakes. The service and hospitality were impeccable. My only regret was that we had eaten a heavy breakfast earlier and didn't have room in our tummies to sample more of the menu offerings.
High Biscuits is a contemporary tea room with bright colors and not a bit of fussiness; refreshingly modern with a touch of authentic English tea time. Thank you, Karen, for an absolutely delightful experience!

Stopped in with my girlfriend for Sunday brunch on Feb 26th on our way to New Orleans and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The tea room had a very cozy atmosphere. All of the food was delicious, especially the pastries. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant tea experience or just looking for some delicious food.

Place closes at 3:00 and is denying service to customers at 2:30 pm.
She started going off on a rampant about the brunch for children under 10 and how the last time she had charged us for tea for kids under 10. If that is the case, she should specify this from the start not blame the customer for not knowing the rules of the place. She clearly was desperate to close and did not want to attend to us. She started bringing up all sorts of excuses to get us to leave. Next time just come right out and say it! Or better yet, close at 2:30 pm!
They need to learn customer service 101.
Nasty service and very disrespectful employees/owner!

We really enjoyed the non-traditional brunch with the array of flavorful selections. The portions are sufficient. If you're looking for something outside of the normal IHOP and Denny's type menu, this is the place.

Would have loved to eat here my son really wanted to come and have tea but apparently they had a tea party going on and did not have enough kitchen staff to make tea. Love the idea but I guess it's too complex to handle more than 20 people drinking tea and eating tea sandwhiches (I do catering it's not that hard) I tried it last time I was in town and it was great but the lack of staff or ability to handle more than 10 people is ridiculous. If your hosting a party you should close your doors or have them do it on a day you are not normally open for business. Just a tip from experience.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday and decided to come back for lunch during the week while visiting from out of town. The tea was fabulous, food mouthwatering and environment relaxing. So much variety on the menu to choose from you will want to come back to experience it again. Scones are one of the best parts! Tuna sandwich and mushroom soup was delicious, and prices great especially considering the elegant presentation. My 11 year old has declared this her most favorite place to eat, and she's not the girly type. Not a place to go in a hurry as they are not trying to be a fast food place but a great place to have a meal and visit with friends, have a girls lunch out with your daughters or a just great cup of tea and scones by yourself to just relax. We will be back every time we are in town. I would love to teleport the place home to do my daughter's birthday party.

This is a really great concept and a lovely concept! And the food and tea? delicious! But in my view, there is room for improvement - i.e. - match the music to the concept - perhaps jazz and/or elevator/soft music is more appropriate for the kind of place that it is instead of them playing rock and roll music. Drinking my lovely tea out of a beautiful pitcher and cup/saucer to the sound of 'I love rock and roll so put another dime in the jukebox baby' just took away from the experience. And for what you get, the prices seem a bit high to me. I'd return and do recommend but yup, definitely room for improvement.

We had a wonderful afternoon filled with wonderful tea and delicious treats! The food was great but the service is what really made our experience great!! Love the food, tea, people, and atmosphere!! I highly recommend you give high biscuits a try for tea or a custom event!!

My daughter and I attended High Biscuits for the first time today. I am in love! I had a great sandwich, and a fresh pot of tea. My daughter was served a miniature version of my tea set up, and a perfect arrangement of fruit, sandwich, and tea cookies. Everything had a really sweet personal touch. We have a new favorite spot!

Absolutely the BEST brunch in town! I had the eggs Benedict and blood orange iced tea. It was amazing! Friendly and helpful staff and owner. A must try for those looking for a fantastic brunch!

Wonderful scones, great lunch special and yummy tea! Had a great lunch at this quite little gem. The owner was extremely attentive and very personable.

The tea is delicious, but the only thing you'll have served quickly. I don't mind waiting if it's a really special meal. This was nothing short of a disaster. Disorganized. Very small portions. If you order French toast, you'd be better going to Burger king. Don't know how they stay in business.

We were traveling through and absolutely love this place. The food, tea and atmosphere was amazing! Thanks Karen! Robyn and I loved it!

High Biscuits is a lovely tea room. I had gunpowder green tea (hot) with the luncheon special of the day. Excellent lunch and tea. Karen is an accommodating hostess. Very relaxing!

We had Sunday brunch & it was delicious. I had the egg casserole & my husband had bacon, eggs & grits- both were fabulous. I had the double earl grey - yummy. This was our first visit, & we're definitely planning a return. Nice to have such a great tea place so close to home.

Bravo!
What a great lunch.
Reward your palate by indulging in something unique to the metro area.
Their is nothing to compare this to in Jackson. The place should be packed! The negative reviews are laughable.

I just visited this place for the first time today, and I am in love! The tea and food were amazing! And the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be returning!

Well, I go here so much now they know me, they even know what table I like and my favourite tea! That pretty much tells you that I really like this place and I keep taking my friends there - who also like it. So, why not go and visit and see for yourself. It's a really nice place to spend some time, even if you just want a nice cup of tea and a calm place to relax for a while.

Went for the first time today. A wonderful experience, delicious food, beautiful presentation and friendly staff. Lived in England for over 4 yeas, brought back wonderful memories. The hot tea and scones were spot on! Crust for the quiche was sooooo flaky. Definitely going to become a repeat customer.

This little tea shop brings back fond memories of my childhood. Those special times of "lady teas" that I attended with my mother and grandmother were fabulous! Taking the time to drop by and be pampered with true English tea food take me back to one of my favorite time in life. Thank you, High Biscuits, for taking back to a wonderful time in my home, the Mississippi Delta.

The ambiance was good. The tea service is lovely. We had a large group for brunch. I understand that they have a small kitchen so the wait for food was understandable. The portions were very small and I finished breakfast unsatisfied.
The scones are delicious!

Just had the sweetest afternoon tea with my sis, mom, and our littles! They were very welcoming and kind to us, even with a crying baby in tow! I was a little apprehensive to bring two preschoolers and a six month old to a tea room, but it was the best experience! Every last thing was super delicious. I will definitely do it again- soon!

I had a wonderful experience here on my way to the Canton Flea Market. The scones are wonderful. It was wonderful to visit with the owner. Everyone should try this place out!

Refreshing. Attended a girl's finishing school. The tea room brought back memories on how to properly serve, table settings, and good manners.
