Speakeasy Grill ranks as my favorite brunch spot in Richmond. Great ambience. Wonderful service. Fantastic food. The historic home espouses a rich history of the African American experience in Jackson Ward. Oh! And the cocktails are on point. My only request is that they open on Saturday as well as
We had brunch today. One had breakfast, one had gumbo and I had the BEC burger. Raves all around on the food. Service excellent and friendly. Reasonably priced. And the restaurant itself is very authentic inside a beautiful bldg. Outside seating. You will love the ambiance.
Classy comfortable place with friendly & attentive staff. The brunch was delicious! Gumbo was authentic and not tomatoey based. The Charleston Shrimp & Grits was also on time and prepared perfectly. Would recommend highly.
First visit here today and it did not disappoint. Excellent customer service from the moment we walked in. And they were able to fit us in in 30 minutes without a reservation!

Restaurant located beside the Hippodrome Theater in historic Jackson Ward on 2nd St. Prices for drinks were expensive ($11 for rum and pineapple 😑) in comparison to other local restaurants. The chicken for the waffle has delicious breading. Service was good.
This is a fantastic place, with great atmosphere and knock-out good food. Very friendly staff and great drinks, too.

I had a lovely brunch with my daughter at Speakeasy Grill, it was a wonderful Experience ,Reminding me of Historical Days Gone Past on 2ed St . The Servers were very Professional ,the food was prepared by a Maestro that aloud my tastebuds to dance a worldly Ballet. Thank You

I had a surprised birthday dinner for my husband with about 25 guests. Sara and her staff were amazing, very attentive, explained everything, and so professional. The food was amazing, the decor is beautiful, we got a tour of the place and already are planning future events here. Highly recommend
Service was amazing! Very last minute they handled our party of 15+. The bartender, a young man, was amazing!! For real, his skills are probably the best in town. And the server was great too. Friendly staff, great drinks, and good music playing during brunch. Great overall vibes. They were short staffed and some items on the menu weren’t available. However, I will definitely be coming back.
