The best pizza around and the price is right also. We can get 2 meals out of a large and small pizza (family of 4). All of the ingredients are fresh and the crust is to die for. Top of the line for eating in or taking out. The service is also outstanding!
Great meal at Roma! We had attentive but not intrusive service. I really like the fact that many of their dishes can be ordered in either half or full portion. I had the penne vodka and my husband had the Sicilian spaghetti - each of us ordered a half portion and it was quite enough for us to leave, feeling stuffed. I also like that the pasta entrees come with either a house or Caesar salad, don't like having to order them separately. There is a nice selection of wines available by the glass. A relaxing, enjoyable dining experience!
Love it!. Myself and my parents absolutely love this place. The food portions are great, the staff and management are fantastic. They recently did a remodel of their location and it feels like a little piece of Italy when you’re eating there.
I highly recommend Roma's for excellent Italian food here in Richmond!
Rockin' Good Pizza. After reading the most recent reviews for Roma's, my husband and I were tentative about going there but we decided to try it anyway and we are thrilled that we did! The restaurant is a delightful eatery with Italian murals on the walls (and ceilings), comfortable booths and very polite & efficient staff members. We ordered a large pizza and thoroughly enjoyed it. The crust was a pleasant departure from the typical fast food/home delivery type and the toppings were yummy. We ended up bringing half of it home because the portions were so generous. For dessert we ordered the profiteroles which were light and were the perfect end to our meal. I hope that more people will give Roma's a try!!
Great place with excellent service. The food is superb -- you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Be cautious that all the dishes are fairly big, so have a big appetite when you visit!
Good Pizza. I came into here for lunch today. I just ordered a slice of pizza since they had it available. It was freshly made and reminded me of the pizza I used to get back home.
Locally Owned at its Best. We have been a fan of Roma's for years. Our kids grew up on Roma's pizza and subs and I personally believe that the sausage pizza is the best in Richmond.
I have been to Roma's with small groups, large groups, parties, and business events and the service has always been excellent. The family that owns the restaurant genuinely cares about their product and it shows.
To be perfectly honest, I have never ventured past the subs, pizza, salads, and calzones. I guess that once I find something that I really like, I generally don't stray to far. I have heard that the entree's are a little pricey, but I guess you will have to find out for yourself!

Huge Portions. I came here twice with buddies of mine when we were at the Captain's Career Course at Fort Lee. It's probably the closest restaurant to the gate near ALU. The first time I went to this place, i got a chicken salad thinking it would be small because I was not hungry. Wrong. The salad was huge and I got even more full off of it. The salad and an iced tea set me back a little over $11 without tip, so that's pretty reasonable.
The next time we went it, we couldn't get a booth and were instead seated at a small table in the middle of the restaurant. This took away much of the easy going ambience that we had experienced in the first visit and I ordered a stromboli dish this time around. I got some pretty wicked heartburn from it, but that was probably my fault for eating too quickly and not taking some Zantac or something beforehand. The food portions were again, pretty large and the price was middle of the road for a place like this.
GREAT ALL AROUND!!. The atmosphere and the service were great, but when I tried the food I was in heaven. A wonderful gem right in the middle of Richmond. The decor was very contemporary & it made you feel like you were eating outside in a Villa in Rome! We were greeted immediately and seated quickly. The place was full for a Tuesday evening.Our waitress was very friendly, knowledgable and professional. If you want to enjoy a wonderful evening out be sure to give them a try. You won't regret it.
Amazing!!!. Roma-Staples Mill Road has become one of our favorite restaurants in Richmond. We eat here about once a month, and I have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is beautiful and romantic, the service is usually top notch, and the food is amazing. Although they do have your traditional Italian dishes, there is so much more to choose from. I always have a hard time deciding what to order, as everything sounds delicious! Kudos to the chef who created this menu. Unique combinations of flavors make for some of the best Italian meals I have ever eaten. Be sure to try the Pasta Vodka. Amazing!
GREAT ALL AROUND EXPERIENCE!!. This is my 4th time that i visited Roma Ristorante (Staples Mill) with my family and never had a bad meal! The service is great & they always make me feel like I am part of their family! Beautiful atmosphere, it makes me feel like I am outside!! Very Clean restaurant & restrooms & that is important for me and my family....And not to metion the delicious food we get all the time, Love the Pasta Puttanesca, spicy like I like it!! My husband loves the Veal Scallopini Ala Roma, which is always tender and delicious. They children now say they want to go to "ROMA" for pizza, they are HOOKED even though it takes us 20 min to get there, it is worth the drive....Also not to mention, they have a PATIO, just realized that the last time we came so we will definately be coming back in the Spring time to sit in the patio & enjoy dinner & a cocktail!! Bottom line, GREAT FOOD & GREAT SERVICE!! Love it!! I tell all my friends!!
SUPER ITALIAN. We stop here every time we roll thru Richmond (we are from Cleveland OH) and are impressed every time. VERY ATTENTIVE service, pleasant atmosphere resembling an outdoor Italian neighborhood and outstanding food. Try the basil and tomato pizza, you will be amazed. Note that Garmin directions get you within a block but have the wrong side of the street. Dont let that discourage you......the salads, pizza and pastas are outstanding. Large portions. Very friendly. AAA+++
What a delicious experience! Got takeout here the other week. The margherita & jalapeno pizza's crust was a little thinner than expected, but all of the flavor was there! The calamari and fettucine alfredo were also both really good. The fried ice cream was a last minute add. I've never seen this on an Italian menu- and they nailed it! Thanks Roma!!
Customer service is always good at this location, but the food is even better. I love this party room in the back of the restaurant. This isn't even half of our family, but there are enough tables around the perimeter to accommodate at least 20 more people. There are doors to the section, so our singing didn't disturb the other guests 🙃
I had the pleasure of dining at Roma Ristorante Italiano for the first time, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. My wife, some neighbors, and I dined here. They were very happy with their orders but I had a few reservations about mine. I ordered the seafood salad and asked them to add anchovies. The salad was moderately sized; it had three shrimp and some lump crab meat. It was excellent tasting but a bit sparse for $17.00. I was charged $2.00 for the extra anchovies; this would not have been so bad had there been more than just two filets.
I couldn’t be happier with my recent order from Roma. I recently had a hankering for a white pizza with broccoli and sausage. (Don’t knock it til you try it). The issue is that it’s hard to find a place that offers broccoli as a pizza topping. I was happy to find that aroma not only offers broccoli as a topping, but they actually have a broccoli pizza on the menu. They are the only place near me that offers this!
What an absolute treat. Price was reasonable for what I was getting (this is not your $5 hot and ready), the food was ready when it said it would be, staff was friendly and welcoming when I walked in and it was downright delicious. I will be adding Roma to my restaurant rotation for sure. Thank you!
I went to this restaurant for a business meeting and had to choose something to eat so I tried a cheese calzone. I was hoping for a vegan option but didn't see any on the menu, so I landed here. The calzone was good, just a lil too oozing cheese for my liking, but it tasted great. They also gave us really soft, warm, complimentary bread that was very good. Also, my ceasar salad was pretty good as well.
I will definitely go back another time to see if there are any specials I can try.

Service good. Some food excellent and others need help. I ordered lobster spinach dip. no lobster found. Yet I tasted potatoes and thats what the lumps were . So read and ask questions before ordering. Decor very nice. Social distances were being practiced. staff wear masks😊.
This is a very cute place. The food is good. The staff is friendly for the most part. It's a little pricey. Somethings are worth the price...others not so much. Pizza is very good!
Good pizza, fries, mozzarella stick things, and sweet tea. Wish the pizza was a bit bigger and there was more mozzarella things. Everything was still great and the sweet tea was probably the best I've had in a restaurant. They were slow for only 2 tables and a few people at the bar, though.
