Shagbark - Richmond - Photo album

I enjoyed the food (the Pork dish), the ambiance and the summer old fashion cocktail. I forgot the name of the bartender who served me ( Miguel? I think), he was super cool. Definitely will be dining there again when in town.
Food was exceptional again. So delicious. Service was great too. Every dish was so good as always. If you want a very nice dinner you need to go here. You get your money's worth.
This is more than just dinner out, it's an experience. From beginning to end, it was superb. The waitress was helpful and attentive. The food is some of the best I've tasted and the portions are plenty. It is pricey, but for a special occasion it's a great choice. Looking forward to dining there aga
My experience at Shagbark Restaurant was mostly positive. The chef's creativity was evident, although at times it felt like they were trying a bit too hard to impress. So every meal I had one bite would be insanely good and the next bite would ruin the taste. Despite this, the dishes were innovati
An amazing place with great food and an amazing selection of wine and drinks. Great atmosphere from the bar, dining room, and patio to fit the feel you are going for that evening. I also believe that they have heaters out during the colder months. I've had both the steak and pork chop when I've g
Outstanding culinary experience. The four of us ordered different entrees and shared. The wine list is extensive. Unless a sommelier is available, look to the specials and the wine recommendations. Chef isn't going to publish a menu with a bad wine. Each dish, from appetizers to desert, was exce
Good little date night for sure. I loved the bread service, the cocktail I had, and both of our entrees were phenomenal. I had the seafood squid ink pasta and my girlfriend had the chicken and they were both exquisite. Service was very attentive and the ambiance was quite nice, though it can get ver
Great spot with fresh food, interesting flavor combinations that did not disappoint! My taste buds were satisfied but there is always room for improvement. My wine glass sat empty for a bit before we were gifted some champagne that was crisp and refreshing. The staff were as friendly and refreshing
First time coming to Shagbark and loved everything about it. The ambiance was spectacular. The food was just as amazing, especially the cornbread. We ordered the pork belly and a few other appetizers. Miguel was world class behind the bar with perfect recommendations. Will definitely be going back.
Had dinner with friends here and really enjoyed it. Apps and mains were great, cocktails were also nice. Great farm to table vibe. The duck was fantastic
It’s been a few years since we have been to Shagbark and we forgot just how wonderful it is. The ambiance is lovely, the staff is friendly, and there is a nice selection of menu items. The mussels, acorn squash, and fried green tomatoes were all excellent appetizers and the steak and crab cake main
My husband & I have been to Shagbark more than 10 times now and I am just now getting to writing a review. We are so lucky to live walking distance to this fantastic restaurant. Everything on the menu is absolutely divine but my husband usually gets the steak (when it’s on the special) and I always
Was my first time dining at Shagbark. Love the design and the menu was killer. Our server, Virginia, was very knowledgeable and attentive to our table. I had the duck which was cooked perfectly and my partner had the pork chop ( also perfect.) I will definitely be coming back💕
We came here for a group dinner. Food was definitely out of my normal comfort zone but was SO good. I had the Heirloom Tomato and Peach Salad, Grilled and Butter Basted Chicken Breast, and the Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding for dessert.
Yes, yes, yes. Atmosphere is beautiful, slightly rustic. Waitstaff is on their A game, knowledge and pleasant. The food is melt in your mouth tasty(Try the steak). Drinks came out quickly and were delicious. I believe the menu changes weekly so don't expect it to match the pictures.
Great starters, cocktails, and entrees. I really enjoyed the Shagbark Sour cocktail. The pork belly starter and the fried green tomatoes starters were superb. The honey glazed chicken entree was good as well. The ambiance and decor are very posh and cool. Had a great time.
The decor is modern rustic. I love the large vertical slices of wood separating the rooms. Plenty of outside, covered tables. Food presentation is a number one priority. It's a very imitative place. The service was a little spotty. The meat and cheese appetizer was amazing, probably better tha
Went here for anniversary dinner, everything was excellent. I really liked the interior styling, the wood floors, etc. They also provided outdoor seating. Everything we tried was delicious. Fried oysters, and pork belly, swordfish, pork chop, was all cooked perfectly. The toffee pudding and strawberr
