Review Houlihan's - Richfield

Great flavor in the many dishes I’ve tried. They have a rotating seasonal menu that provides additional variety. Service has also been good. It is a national chain, so you won’t find many local options for food or beer. And prices tend toward the high side for the quantity of food. But you can find healthier options, like an organic greens salad (pictured), that you might not find at a lot of similar restaurants.

Loved the food and place. Stuffed chicken breast is an outstanding dish. Crispy calamari in happy hour menu is something that you shouldn’t miss.

Had an hour to kill before my dental appointment, so I stopped in for quick nibble. 2 for 1 Lagunitas IPA on tap (🍺 primo!) + sweet 🍗s made for a very happy hour indeed. Respects to Callie (server)...👌🏾

I was visiting Minneapolis and after looking at the reviews online, I decided to try It out. Though Monday evening was a bit slow, the atmosphere is great. Low lighting, a large bar, big windows looking outside and overall a nice place. There are TV's if you want to watch some sports and the ambiance is nice and quiet to where you can have a conversation without having to talk loud. The food choices to me are a little small. For a steak there are three choices and the same for burgers. Seems the chicken and fish are their main dishes. I did have the Navajo Chicken Pasta which was delicious and had a little heat to it. The drinks are if good quality as well. If you are looking for an intimate place or a place to meet a friend or co workers, I definitely would come here again. Jambalaya was fantastic though I thought that might be too much shrimp and not enough Anidoulle.sausage, but the spice was perfect it lit by mouth up which was fantastic, though the grilled asparagus seem to be rather on the small side....Margarita was OVERLY ALCOHOLIC for my taste.

People had made reservations for Easter but staff refused to let those who came early to be seated until EXACTLY 11am(Including the elderly--there was literally people with walkers standing outside for 10-20 minutes). Sad and disappointing(bend the rules a little people). Had a happy Easter overall at the location. Can't complain about the food at all the scallops were great I had them again.

It was ok. Not sure what else to say. Not bad. Not great. Decent. Burger was meh. Fries were run of the mill Sisco food service fries. Presentation was good. Service was ok. Had issue with Bill, and took a little to get corrected but still made it right.

Our first visit to a restaurant since the pandemic. They had all the precautions in place and we had a good time. I had the Asian chicken lettuce wrap and it was really good. My friends enjoyed their burgers and my husband said the fries were really good and it's hard to please him.

Went for a birthday. Good, quick service. Really good variety in their menu. Something for everyone though a tad lacking on vegetarian options. Still, everything tasted great. Loved the white bean Tuscan salad. It's the balsamic! Would definitely go again with a big group!

Ask for John B.. We had a fantastic waiter, John B., who engaged my Down’s Syndrome brother and treated him like a person (you probably don’t realize how rare that is – about 5%). My biggest peeve is that people don’t ask him what he wants or even look at him. So it started the night off well. We each ordered a different entrée.

Burger – ordered medium rare and it was perfect and served with a choice of side dish.

French Dip – lots of meat and good au jus sauce served with a choice of side dish.

Parmesan Crusted Walleye – large piece of walleye with vegetable of the day and mashed potatoes. The vegetables were sweet julienne carrots and green beans cooked slightly and they were excellent. The mashed potatoes are really good and served very hot. My only complaint is that they cook the walleye with a beurre blanc sauce that you can lightly taste and it would be elevated by serving some extra sauce on the side.

Desserts were good. The crème brulee sugar was deeply burned and it would have been better if they had stopped at dark brown. More custard would have helped too. It is a smaller dessert for $3.95. The donut flight dessert was good with a martini glass of freshly made cinnamon spice donut holes with two smaller glasses of dipping sauce. The Kahlua hot fudge sauce was so good I could have just eaten it with a spoon and the caramel sauce was average. Priced at $6.95 it can easily be shared by two. My husband thought the donuts themselves were wonderful. My opinion was that the oil was a bit off and they were cooked too long. Cook them less in fresh oil and they would be much better.

Definitely going to return with my brother on John B.’s night.

Good food, a bit pricey so your best bet is to hit up happy hour.

Recently I ate lunch at this Houlihan's with my one year old daughter. It was a very pleasant meal. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was hot with a generous portion. Dining with a one year old is not always easy and the waitress did what she could to be helpful.

I have heard that a new promotion is coming soon to Houlihans. Along with special drinks (Park Avenue Princess, Champagne with Cherry Liqueur was my favorite that I saw), Houlihans is going to be handing out Secret Envelopes to guests. When you bring it back unopened, you get the prize inside. The prizes range from free dessert or $10 off to a new shoe wardrobe or a trip to Vegas. I love this sort of thing, and I will probably have to go back to try my hand at winning.

Lots of good sounding items, but they fall short. The items on the menu sound good, but they all are done better elsewhere. the price is a little high and quality and taste is low.

Houlihans. This restraunt had potential- They blew it for me years ago..... I would never recommend this location. Eagan is much, much, much, better than this location. Maybe they could learn something from eagan.

Good times. Happy hour is great. 2-4-1's!! App specials. Well kept bar and it's just all around good. I'd take my friends and family there.
