Sigree Grill

The expectation was high from the Richardson location as we had good time in Sigree grill Frisco. The moment we walked in to Sigree grill richardson today, doubts in our head stared rolling for the quality, after seeing the completely empty restaurant at lunch buffet. This is one signal, that we normally use to stay away, as 95% of time, the new restaurant attracts huge crowd at least with it's food service. Sigree Grill Richardson does not look serious at all. I am highly disappointed with their service as well as the food. We had a birthday party arranged here so it could not have been cancelled. Lunch buffet does have variety, but with many hiccups. Since, there is no one to eat there (it was actually empty), their idli and Dosa batters were not ready and hence could not be served in Buffet. Chicken biryani was Okay, chicken tikka was cold at room temperature. It had hardened too. We had to tell them that there is no fire beneath the chicken tikka to keep it warm!! This is not expected from a new restaurant who is looking to expand on initial success. Naan were served fresh but were taking too much time to reach table. This again because they had only 1 person to serve whole restaurant. The ambience reminds of an old restaurant that has been bought and decorated with new name. No effort has been made to create a brand differentiation. I was told by one of the friend that it used to be an old vegetarian restaurant at this location and it has been bought by Sigree. I would not recommend this location of Sigree for a visit. They need lot of improvement to attract food lovers. To mention few things that were good on taste: Rice kheer, goat Curry and Malai kofta. Things really bad: Half cooked white rice, Chowmein/noodles were dry and crisp (had dried due to continuous heating). Things okay to eat: Chicken biryani, paneer Tikka masala. No dosa, no idli, no veg biryani or pulav in the buffet. That's a suicide menu for a restaurant that's new and trying to make an impression. All other stuff was just okay to be there. There was no effort made to present food as an attractive commodity. Chutneys are given more prominent real estate in buffet than main course items. This is strange and shows their limitations. They probably need to hire a good food restaurant manager who understands the nuisances of setting up a buffet. Will I visit again: No

Had a great lunch buffet yesterday. We were the first ones at the restaurant and it was pretty light for lunch crowds but our service was really good. The food was excellent. I typically take a little of each and then head back for more of what I liked best. It was hard to choose because all the dishes were good. I hope more people will try this place out!

Overall, just an ok experience. The food was good - I had the non-veg thali, nice flavors - but the atmosphere and service unfortunately left much to be desired. I asked three times over 15 minutes for a napkin because I hadn't received one when I sat down or when my food arrived. Also, after my credit card was charged they couldn't give me a receipt or show me the transaction on the tablet on which it was run.

Pathetic service. Take Lot of time in getting order on table. For us they took around an hour. Half of the dishes wre not available. No South Indian dishes no chaat. We went specifically to have dosa. I will not recommend anyone to visit this place. They don't care for customers. Better to go to Frisco location
