The Cookery

Exceeded expectations! We went for the Friday Fish Fry and were not disappointed. The beer battered cod was perfectly cooked and the serving portion was three good sized pieces, plus coleslaw, brown bread, and a large potato pancake. We started off with a cup of New England Clam Chowder which was full of clams. Everything was served piping hot and with little delay. We were too full to try the cherry pie for dessert. I never went to Laura's, but it looked like the interior had been completely refurbished and was very clean and attractive. However it's a diner, not a supper club. If you're in the area, this is a place to put on your list.

Charming little cafe along the side of the road—the perfect place to stop for a late breakfast. The hash browns were divine—the toast buttered just right 🥰 and the interior was charmingly rustic and spotlessly clean. The service was fast and attentive. Even the bathrooms were quaintly decorated. Lots of locals hanging around the counter diving into the pot roast special. Thumbs up for me.
