Taco Zocalo

We were early for an appointment at the Reston Kaiser Permanente and decided to get lunch to help kill time. This restaurant showed up when I googled restaurants near me. We were not disappointed! Omg, the different flavors were having a party in my mouth! My husband had a burrito with barbacoa and I had a bowl with barbacoa. We also ordered a side of chips and salsa which were equally delicious. I really like the freshness, consistency and amazing taste of the salsa. The chips are thicker than I like but delicious nonetheless. I really wish this was closer to my home as I live 40 miles away. Highly recommend! P.s., don’t forget to try the sauces.

Great local taco spot. As a realtor I spend a lot of time in my car and often need to find lunch on the go. I first stumbled upon Taco Zocalo near one of my Reston listings. The beef barbocoa taco is probably my favorite. I find that 2 tacos is quite filling and affordable! Today around lunch the place was packed inside and outside so I got my tacos to-go. They were expertly packed and came with sauce and a lime wedge. I also bought some of their hot sauces to put in my client gift baskets. I can see why they are opening a second location in Falls Church and look forward to it!

Giving this place a 5/5 even though they keep messing up my order. I go there regularly since it is so close to my office. It’s usually very busy during lunchtime, the staff is always nice, the food is always fresh (and delicious), and the prices are worth the quality of the food. The restaurant itself is small but great for a quick bite. I usually go for their chicken chimichanga, or beef burrito. Their tacos are also pretty good 🌮

It is located where several office suites are, so it was a little surprising to see a little restaurant there. You order your food and pay for it before sitting down. They definitely have delicious fresh food! I loved the chips and salsa. My husband and I both ordered tacos, his were corn and mine were soft flour. We both really enjoyed the food but the helpings are quite large. We each ordered 3 tacos each and I would say that two is plenty for most. We look forward to coming back!

ELOTE. This tasted good. Usually not a fan of elote, this one is cravable and the BEST elote we’ve had. Flavorful but subtle and isn’t powdery dry, more like a cream coat. Will go back to try the beef tacos and other hot sauces. Conveniently located right off the road. Place is tidy, cozy and colorful.
