Review Sakana - Reno

Kenneth McCormick
Topher is a great sushi chef. 🍣 The roles where excellent and it was an excellent place to bring my son. Topher has build two new customers for Sakana.

Nice slices of fish on their nigiri. Rolls were good. The Thai tea is very flavorful. The chicken and Korean BBQ bento boxes are nicely sized and have gotten them to go on multiple occasions. If you don't eat a lot I recommend a la carte as their dinner AYCE is pricey. I usually get 2 rolls and 4 orders of nigiri and would have come out ahead a la carte.

I have been to many better places then this "We are out on that manu today!" Jokers. Charged $31 per person, we paid $80 some dollars for hand squeeze white rice chucks. On the website did mentioned "All you could eat Sushi & Noodles", but Noodles were extra. WOW...ALL YOU COULD EAT, BUT WE DO NOT HAVE THAT TODAY....MAYBE EVERDAY!!!

Definitely going back! Food was amazing, service was great, prices weren't that bad. The Chasu Ramen was to die for and the sushi was awesome.

I enjoyed my lunch at Sakana Sushi today, the food was good, (not anything special) but I enjoyed it, what I didn't enjoy was the customer service, once I finished my meal, I decided to request 2 "Upside down Shrimp", I had to wait almost 20 min for TWO shushis, other than that I had a pretty good time.

Sakana is our go to for all you can eat sushi 🍣 Their " Itamae " are very talented and it seems the two young girls that used to be servers are no longer there so their service is way better now.

Had the lunch 2 roll special & it was great! Came with two rolls, I got the Lion King & the H.O.T. (deep fried) & they were delicious! The appetizer of baby octopus was seasoned well with a lite batter & the miso soup was very flavorful! I loved the pickled cucumber that came with it & the presentation in the boats was awesome!

Generally not good with an exceptionally long wait. Large balls of Squeezed rice with the smallest slices of fish I’ve ever seen. Quality and freshness is poor for one of the most expensive spots in town. Ate here on 5/1/2022, was sick through the night and puking into the day on 5/2.
