Best Mexican restaurant in town. Excellent customer service. I had the carnitas the best I have ever had. Highly recommend!
Great food and amnesia inducing margaritas!!! I can’t remember but I think Omar and the rest of the staff are really friendly.

The best Mexican place in town. Great food, drinks, and company. They do it right.
Looks like we've found our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Reno - great food, very authentic (hubby used to live in Mexico when he was a kid, so he knows) and terrific people!
Great Food..
I recommend their Mole, best in town.!
This was my second time here. The food was tasty and the portions are huge!! I cannot wait to return on my next visit!!
Best place in town! Great food and fantastic customer service!
Before this is was Bertha Mirandas and Betos...Now we don't go anyplace else.
You know how with meals someplaces you only care about the meat and everything else on the plate is filler?
Not here. This is the only restaurant where we eat EVERYTHING off the plate. No doggie bags.
The only restaurant that can give these guys a run for the title is La Fiesta in Fernley. Period.
Some people just like watered-down "American" Mexican wussy food. You wont get that here.
My first time ever and our party of eight thoroughly enjoyed it!! Fidel was absolutely wonderful!! Extremely good at his job!! Patient and extremely friendly and very handsome too!! The margaritas were so tasty, that was Mom's favorite strawberry margarita she has ever had! Looking forward to coming back and now bringing my high school dinner group to chow down and have some fun!
Omar is a great host and his Staff were welcoming and gracious. Best Michelada I’ve ever tasted!
Warm and friendly atmosphere and the food and drinks are excellent. Only to be out done by the service and friendly owner and staff. Out of five tongues I give it all 5 tongues.
Food is excellent!
I had something with seafood in it and a Margarita.
Will have to visit them again

My favorite Mexican restaurant in town! The Muy Especial is THE BEST. I love hanging out here and having a margarita.
Great food and I was very happy with the service! Even though we waited 15 min to be seated!
Best food ever and the service is amazing. Margaritas are so good!
The food is awesome, the customer service is excellent. The atmosphere is really neat to.
Great food, friendly staff, wonderful margaritas! We all enjoyed everything and will go back soon!
Fish tacos delishioso...first time I had carnitas fajitas .Also ver gott..
A large amount of food for a low price. Warn & welcoming staff.
The food is AMAZING and the service is great! Even the steaks are better than most steak houses.
Love Si Amigo's! Like visiting Home!!
The staff was very nice and friendly. We also really enjoyed their food. They do give you chips, salsa and bean dip and we loved the bean dip. Nice seating and atmosphere too. Pretty good portions and not too expensive.
While driving around after my haircut, I craved tacos. There's a spot almost right next door to where I get my haircut but that wasn't the food I was jonesing for today.
My go-to spot was packed for lunch so I kept going until I said out loud in the car, "let's go see Omar!" The man whose name was blurted out in my car is the owner, proprietor of Si Amigos. When I arrived, I opened the door and saw Omar sitting at the bar, eating lunch. I said, "Omar!" He was startled but happy to see me. His restaurant is chock-full of family recipes so choosing one item, in particular, wasn't easy. I saw molé enchiladas and ALMOST went with those but I wanted tacos. I ordered the three Al Pastor taco plate. The server offered chips and salsa and of course, I said, "yes, please." After chatting with Omar for a few, my food arrived. I was super hungry so I knew the food wasn't going to stand a chance.
Boy, was I wrong.
By the time I made it through most of the chips and salsa, two tacos, and all of the rice, there was one taco left. Omar said, "you can't be done. You still have one left." I said, "i really want to eat it but I'm super comfortable right now", so I got a to-go box and made sure to bring it with me when I left.
The meat in the tacos was incredibly flavorful, the corn tortillas were absolutely perfect, and the rice they serve is SO close to my grandmother's recipe. I felt like I was a teenager again, back in her kitchen, listening to her and my Grandfather have a conversation.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is great, the staff is really friendly, and the food ...oh man, the food is on-point. They have a killer tequila selection including a chipotlé tequila designed for a Bloody Maria. I'm not saying that I'm looking forward to enjoying one of those when I'm hungover but I'm also not going to turn away the drink if I'm not hungover. 😂😂
All in all, today's stop was most definitely 10/10. I look forward to going back there soon. Thanks for taking the time to read this review. Most importantly, thank you for taking the time to eat the food they make. The more we support the Mom and Pop places, the longer they're around.
Cheers to you!
Love this joint!!! The margaritas are big and bomb. The food is excellent. They were also very polite about my boyfriend's allergy to tomatoes. They took back an entire dish and remade it, with a smile on their faces. Great place.
I am so happy we found the gem! Some of the best Mexican Food I have eaten. If you go, order the Churros, you will not be disappointed.
Staff is friendly, the decor is fun and festive. Only 4 stars because the carne asada had 0 flavor. Just meat. Everything else was decent.
Si Amigos never disappoints. If you like spicy, ask for the tomatillo or habanero salsa. Both are outstanding!
We were taking guests out and thought we were going to Bertha Miranda's but turns out it was closed on Monday night, so we scrambled to find somewhere else to go. I'm glad they were closed. It was great! My new go-to Mexican place whilst in Reno! The camarones cabo blanco! Yummm.... They have a great bean dip they bring with the chips. I'm just sad now because they are not in Salt Lake. Maybe it's for the best...
