Tried a new place today on RT 44 in Rehoboth! Confectionery Designs π©π©Cute little cabin like shop! I've been driving by this place for years and never stopped by but once I heard they started making donuts...of course I had to! π
Super friendly service (family run). π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ The donuts were delightful! The presentation was beautiful and display is very chic! ππΌNow for the taste....probably top 2 places thus far. Donuts at Confectionary...the dough...probably the BEST out of every place Ive visited. ππΌ Very light and airy! If you were to pinch the donut, the dough would bounce right back, nice and fluffy! THE best maple bacon I've had out of 8 states. π₯π₯ If anyone is near the area, it's def worth stopping by!
Stopped in here after a rough day to get a donut. I didn't realize they were closing in 5 minutes, but the owner was SO nice. Very accommodating and answered all my questions about the business. Got two delicious donuts and I tried the coffee too, everything was excellent. Great place! will be returning.

Bought my mom the mixed berry bread pudding for her birthday, as she didn't want cake. She raved about how light it was and how good it tasted. I also bought a donut for my dad and he loved it too. I think my favorite item is the savory tomato and cheese danish( I think that's what it was called. The combination of cheeses and tomatoes was out of this world and the pastry was so light and delicious. I highly recommend this bakery!
Every time I drive by Confectionery Designs and see their red "bakery open" sign, I have to stop in. Everything is beautiful and delicious. If they have any Brown Butter Pecan donuts, don't just buy one. You'll regret it. But be smart! They take pre-orders on their website.

We've been stopping in for years for donuts and holiday baked goods. Everything we have tried as been amazing. The maple bacon donut are a personal favorite, even though I don't really like bacon. And the eggnog cheesecake is a Christmas staple for us every year.
But what really prompted me to write this review, was the specialty cake we recently ordered. We were celebrating my FIL's 80th birthday and decided to make it as special as possible given some COVID safety concerns. So we wanted a show stopper cake for this casino loving, craps player. And boy, did the team at Confectionary Designs deliver!
We asked for a rather complex design - a craps table cake! We ordered the cake with only 3 weeks notice due to last minute planning of the party. Marie immediately responded that they could accommodate and the selection of flavors was only complex because they all sounded so amazing. We settled on Chocolate cake with Chocolate Raspberry filling. It was absolutely to die for. Our son ate two pieces when we weren't looking and all the guests were raving about how good it was - and this was after they all had to come take a picture of it! Visual masterpiece that tasted just as good, if not better than it looked.
Cannot recommend Confectionary Designs for enough, and for literally everything you could need. Whether it's donuts for the office on Friday morning, holiday desserts to end your special meal with a bang, or a special cake for a special day - Mark, Marie and their team will blow all your expectations out of the water.
The fresh baked items are perfect and delicious. Expertly crafted donuts, croissants and cookies. Though small in selection, they are big on flavor and in size.

Stopped by while in the area from out of town. Had a chance to taste a number of the gourmet donuts and highly recommend others do the same. Loved the flavor variety and quality. Also, be sure to get a cold brew to wash it all down!
The brown butter pecan donut was absolutely delicious, and the croissants were just perfect. Pastries are a delicate art at this place, which they have mastered.
The cinnamon donut is like a drug to me! Light, airy, cinnamony, glazed, deliciousness. Ugh I would eat one every day. The service was good, the selection was small, but it still deserves 5 stars for the donut alone. Definitely a great place to try!!
My go to gourmet bakery for holidays and special occasions. Best overall for Almond Croissant pick. Love their old fashioned donuts. Service is always exceptional and very welcoming. Marie is amazing.
