I went there a few times since a found it, a few weeks ago. My first time there we tried a lot of different entrees, each one was perfectly maid we just had to come again, and again… every time we went it was the same high quality. I completely recommend this place to all the fish and rice lovers out there 💙

One of the best sushi place I have ever been to. Everything was super delicious. We tried bunch of rolls(shrimp tempura, black dragon(amazing), triple salmon, spicy tuna, spicy girl roll) and got avocado salad and spring roll as appetizers, and lava cake, espresso creme brule as dessert. The interior design is beautiful, employees are friendly, deserts are superb. I highly recommend!

I really loved this place, very interesting interior, and the way they serve food in those nice plates, everything looks beautiful and very delicious food. They also give you a whole pot of green tea for free. Gonna come back for sure, enjoyed a lot.

Stopped by Sai after the gym and it satisfied our sushi cravings. Server was super attentive. We ordered the Ultimate Toro Roll and the Sushi/Sashimi set. The toro was lightly seared and super fresh. The garlic sauce on top added a good touch to it. Would definitely stop by again since they have a wide variety of special rolls that I still want to try! Also, don’t forget to check-in on yelp for a free sake!

This place is a hidden gem. Ambiance is modern but still keeps to its cultural aspects. The service was great. Our server was kind and attentive. The drinks were beautiful and scrumptious and the food was delicious. Perfect for date night. I can’t wait to go back.

Sai was SOY good! This is our favorite upscale Japanese restaurant in Queens. This was such a hidden gem, it definitely deserves more hype. They are located in Rego Park right across from the Ikea. We found street parking (It’s meter parking until 10PM). Im sure you can probably find some free residential parking in the area, but we were running late with our reservation. When we got to the restaurant, it was super clean and the ambiance was lovely. This is the perfect spot to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. I mean I am hoping my boyfriend takes me back here soon. We sat in one of their booths and began to go over the menu. They have a regular menu and an omakase menu. We decided to order from both. We started off with the omakaze appetizers, with 5 pcs of sashimi. Since it was chef’s choice, we did not expect such high quality and popular pieces. The chef gave us toro, salmon, scallops… they all SUPER fresh and paired with different ingredients such as garlic crisp, chilli crisps, truffle etc. The presentation was beautiful as well, as it comes in tiny Japanese plates on a bigger platter. . We got the $99 omakase set. It comes with clam miso soup (it has REAL clams inside), edamame, three pce sashimi, two appetizers, 9pce nigiris, one toro don. When I found clams in my miso soup, I was honestly surprised. I don’t think I’ve ever found real clams in my miso soup in any other Japanese restaurants in NYC. The edamame is fun to just snack on while we wait for the rest of the meal. The set also came with three pce sashimi. Most of the time when we go to Japanese restaurants and order chefs choice sashimis, we wouldn’t get salmon or toro. However, SAI gave us toro with caviar and fatty king salmon. It was so good! For our appetizers.. we were superr impressed! They served us toro with truffle, and the truffle wasn’t just there as a decor, the toro had aromas of truffle as it melts on your tongue. The other appetizer was a giant scallop. It was plated with the freshest creamiest uni, topped with caviar and gold flakes. The presentation was beautiful. It sits on a soy like savory jelly. It was so creative. Finally the 9pce nigiri came, it was the most beautiful plate ever. Every piece was so well thought out and paired so nicely with other ingredients. There was nothing to complain or criticize. Every piece was very well executed. To finish off the omakase set, we also got a toro don. I was kinda thinking wow I cannot eat a bowl of rice with toro, but they gave us a bite sized toro abiri like sushi, it was sitting on a seaweed shisho leaf. With gold flakes on top. It was the most beautiful thing ever. It was the BEST bite as well. I would 100% get the same set again. . We also decided to get three signatures rolls. These were all unique to SAI, we have never seen these rolls anywhere else before. The first roll we got was the Angel Roll, which consists of spicy crunchy tuna with salmon & yellowtail top with wasabi mayo & red tobiko. Their spicy roll was actually spicy too. We also tried the Ultimate Toro Roll, the fresh bluefin toro, avocado top with seared toro & spicy crunchy garlic was the perfect combo and presentation. Lastly, we had to get the Kobe roll. The lobster, King Crab and Avocado Top with Kobe Beef and Caviar makes this my favorite roll ever! It was so good, the roll wasn’t wrapped in seaweed, but a sheet of soy paper. However it wasn’t soggy or anything. The rolls and their ingredients were super fresh and they used the highest quality ingredients. . Unlike other Japanese restaurants I’ve been to, they really serve you the highest quality service and food. We cannot wait to come back really soon. So glad we don’t need to commute all the way to Manhattan just for sushi.

Fresh high quality ingredients unlike many of the other Japanese restaurants in the area. Got the sushi and sashimi for 2 and added on 2 more rolls. The truffle toro is a must have. It was nicely seared and just melts in your mouth. Will be back!

We ordered the deluxe sushi omakase for a special occasion. The food arrived beautifully wrapped in traditional bento style with complimentary sake. It’s the first time we ordered from them and we were very happy with the quality of the food and presentation. Will definitely be ordering more in the future!
