I don't give 5 stars because those are for high-end places. Otherwise, it is a 5 star for a neighborhood restaurant.
The food is excellent, the place is very clean. The atmosphere is great and even though it might be full it is not a noise place.

My wife and I dine at Don Alex on a regular basis and in all honesty we’ve yet to have a bad experience. While we usually stick to our go-to: mixed chaufa rice + half a rotisserie chicken + friend sweet plantains (maduros) + a glass of chicha morada, the times we’ve ventured and ordered other items

Delicious food, excellent service, truly exquisite Peruvian flavor, the people who work there are kind and cordial.They never rush you & they treat kids with respect! The sangria is delish. Try the fried calamari.. Better than anywhere else in the neighborhood. And the avocado salad is fantastic!
Very delightful spot, I really enjoy coming here. They have very good fresh food. I never had a bad experience here. Very good quick service, never a wait time of more then 5 min. Small peruvian restaurant out side seating very nice excellent service & food staff very professional and friendly i ordered and within minutes my food came out didn't have to wait a long time and even though its a small place i was seated the moment i arrived. i ordered the ceviche mix medium spicy

I have to say I liked the food very much. I had 1/4 of a chicken with rice, salad, also the salchiyucas as appetizer and the seafood soup and of course some chicha morada to drink
Excellent food and service! the Ceviche de Pescado is one of the freshest ceviches I’ve had! The Tallarines Verde is delicious as well. Highly recommended!
