Great view and ambience. Friendly staff. Excellent food. My favorites so far are the Sirloin Burger and the Crab Salad. I have had nothing but good meals and experiences here. Will be back soon!
The fish and chips are delicious and the Italian sodas are a yummy addition! Combine that with the view and wow, I just love this place. And I love to stop into the Umpqua Discovery Center to check it out when we are there too. Makes a fun afternoon!
We ate here for the first time yesterday and we got the chef salad and a roast beef sandwich and we both shared them and it was totally amazing food and the service was fantastic!
Great place to eat and to relax! I had the Shrimp cocktail and the Crab melt! WOW! FULL OF FLAVOR. Then for dessert i had the Volcano Strawberry Brownie. Mmmmmmmm. Yum. We met the owner of the place to. He's a very cool dude!
Great fish and chips. Delicious chowder. Carrot cake is perfection. Beautiful view of the Umpqua River.

This is an excellent get away tucked in by the Discovery Center. Encourage anyone to dine here. Yummy.

Very nice restaurant on the river. Beautiful view, very nice staff and yummy food. Clam chowder in the bread bowl was excellent, the bread bowl was crisp and toasted. The salmon burger was great as well; a salmon patty on a crispy croissant.
Friends told us about this place. It is off the beaten path of the town. The wife had the Crab Melt sandwich with coleslaw. She said the slaw was a little dry. I had the Reuben sandwich with German potato salad. Both were excellent. excellent waitress Missy. Kept our water glasses full.
A local recommended this restaurant. The burger was great, according to my son. The best he had on our camping trip. He had 4 burgers...
I got the fish and chip. It was good. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfectly cooked.
It was a nice day and we sat outside. Great place to stop by for lunch.
We come here every time we are in town. Our waitress made sure we were by a window and told us about a sea otter so my little could watch for it. Our service was great as always and we all enjoyed our food!

FABULOUS FISHHOUSE
Schooner’s is a hidden gem in Reedsport. The perfect place to park your trailer or RV while you have a wonderful meal with a view of the Umpqua river. In the summer, they have outdoor tables with umbrellas and about half of them are tables where well-behaved dogs are allowed. The indoor sun porch is also a good spot to enjoy the good grub with a view.
SERVICE
Stacey was a fantastic host and very attentive. She gave me a complimentary refill on my Diet Coke and was quick to take our order.
FOOD
- Dungeness Crab Cocktail ($16): Good amount of crab for the price and served with tasty cocktail sauce. More leg meat would’ve been appreciated, but it’s silly to be fussy.
- Clam Chowder Bread Bowl ($11): Nice amount of clam meat in the soup and decent flavor. The sourdough bowl is one of Franz’s finest products and I was impressed to learn they deliver restaurants these bowls.
- Fish & Chips ($16): I appreciate a good hand-battered F&C for sure and these are about a 7 on the Fischcter Scale. Bigger pieces would’ve been appreciated and the fry was easy to fall off. The housemade tartar is wonderful and the perfect accompaniment to this coastal standby.
Awesome view from from the waterfront patio or from inside. The food taste great and just refresh. The who came up quick but wait staff could be a little more attentive. The crab melt was awesome and the chowder is a must.
Excellent little spot for a meal, snack or just a beverage. It is next door to the Discovery Center, has salads, seafood, sandwiches, fries, ice cream & other desserts with inside and patio/deck outdoor seating right on the river... Fast & friendly service, delish food, very clean and great views from inside through huge windows or outside in the sunshine or for storm watching...
This is one of those awesome places you *have* to stop by. The food is always good, the people are lovely, and the location can’t be beat. The crab melt is to die for!

Hot food on a cold day with a beautiful view! Chowder was excellent. Reuben was well balanced. Service was very fast and friendly.
