Turn any night into date night! This is easily one of our favorite restaurants in Redwood City. The food is gourmet, and a great value. We’ve been here many times and the food and service has never disappointed. Most recently served by Fiorella our on the patio...top notch experience. A+

Very interesting food ( We had Pork Belly Tacos ( braised pork belly, pineapple Habanero salsa, persimmon pico, fried kale ) | Bar fries w/ horseradish aioli and ketchup | Hamachi Tartare ( sesame oil and ponzu, apple, Fresno chili ) | Little Gem Salad ( with buttermilk herb dressing, Pistachios, parmesan crisp and soft boiled egg ), good executed. Friendly service, nice seating outside. Will be back

Some of the best dining in Redwood City. A rotating menu that changes frequently, providing an opportunity to sample the freshest local ingredients available. For those that like their cocktails it seems gin and whiskey are a specialty. There's always something different. I have never had a meal here that was anything less than extraordinary. The friendly waitstaff provide great advice on what's best for the night. Love it here.

Phenomenal restaurant - the one we have been waiting for in redwood city. Terrific cocktails, great food in classic setting. Order for sure the quail appetizer and the steak entree (which is grass fed which is really hard to find great grass fed beef). And you can not go wrong with The Rio as your cocktail.

My wife and I enjoyed Timber & Salt. The food is great. The dishes are unique. Just try the house made potato chips made with pickled potatoes to prove the point. The big wall murals of early Redwood City just reinforce the warm ambience. The service is professional, friendly, and not in your face. This is a great place to dine, relax, and experience something new.

We ordered too much food for three people and still cleaned the plates! Everything was fantastic. Great cocktails and wine selection, too. Now I know where to meet Peninsula friends for an awesome meal and drinks!

I’ve wanted to come here for a while and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere for dinner with friends, the food was tasty and the service was great. Definitely returning to try more dishes. Tip: Make sure you make a reservation if you want outdoor seating as it fills up pretty quick.

Timer & Salt has a great vibe with records from a record player on the bar and great service. A limited, but tantalizing menu will leave with a hard choice on which one to choose; they're all amazing! I went for the Bavette Steak and didn't regret it 😋 A delicious chocolate chip cheesecake rounded through meal off perfectly.

Nice cozy setting, great fine dine place. Perfect for dates, birthday dinners. Indoor seating with plenty of outdoor seating having heaters makes it even better. Pet friendly. Paid parking @3/hr in a nearby Box parking lot.

Overall the food, drinks, and the experience was good. Their fried chicken was def different from the rest with some latin american flavors. It didn't feel good hearing the special cocktails from our neighbors table since the same waitress didn't share the same info as us. I, however, asked the manager and got to try one very spirit forwarded cocktail. All good and will be back to try the other foods & drinks

I'm not sure what I can recall from Timber & Salt as that special sauce. It literally feels like another American/Californian fair where everything tastes average (and great when you're hungry). Decent selection of beer. And a above-average swanky atmosphere with lots of wood (well I guess they have "Timber" in the name). The food was 3-stars, but overall, the package is delivered in a believable way where it caters to business lunches and happy hour. And that's exactly what I went there for. Not memorable in any way. 4-stars for allowing me to have my business meeting with a beer and burger.

Came here for a birthday night with the husband and we had a wonderful experience. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We had the Buffalo cauliflower, gnocchi and chicken and everything tasted fantastic. The drinks were great as well. It was quiet and a romantic ambiance. They treated us great and made for a special birthday night! 10/10 would recommend and we will be back!
