On vacation and have eaten at plenty of restaurants. My husband and I agree that Wahoo's is the best. I had blackened shrimp and he had a grouper sandwich- both were great, but the shrimp was fantastic. They did not have a kids menu, but our 7 year old had a beach burger for under $4, and a side of mac and cheese. The mac & cheese is made with real cheese, not Kraft. Everyone loved their food. We had eaten at a more expensive restaurant near Pier 60, which not only cost a lot more, but was not as tasty. Don't let the unimpressive pub feel turn you off. Great food, good service, good price.
A rare great fresh seafood restaurant on Pinellas' beautiful beaches. Expert execution of a fresh, changing menu in an easy neighborhood place atmosphere. We went on a Saturday night and had a five table wait. The staff was up to the job in the 60-ish seat room. We never felt neglected waiting and once seated it was all more than worth it. I was a certified chef from NOLA, a son of a commercial fisherman so my standards are serious. Great job. Can't wait till my next trip back. I'll be there.
