My father has talked about this place for years and we finally were in the neighborhood to give it a shot. On the outside the place wasn't much to look at but it looked renovated on the inside. Service was attentive, but also a tad slow. Food was different than what I have traditionally had. The omelette was almost like a fluffy pancake than an actual omelette but still good. Was definitely generous on the fillings in the omelette. Prices were normal for what you were getting.
Ended up here after looking for a local non-chain breakfast spot. I wanted to try something local and different, and definitely found it with this place. Though they specialize in an array of different and unique omelette combinations and sizes, they also offer all of the other breakfast favorites that you have become accustomed to knowing and loving.
The establishment is clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming. This place is also set up kind of oddly inside, so it can seem a bit crowded when it gets busy and starts to fill up. When I was in, there was no wait and I was able to get a table right away—but I am sure during busier times, you may have to wait a bit to get a table. Service is prompt, accurate and the offerings are affordable. If you order coffee (which to me is a must for breakfast), you get a little carafe with some reserves in it so you don't have to waste time tracking down the waitress when you run low—which I found to be a nice touch.
The food is fresh, hot, and quite good. If you're looking for a different place to try for breakfast, give this place a chance. Definitely worth it.
It sucks this place went out of business. They had the best omelets. We tried the other location but its not as good. Please come back!!!!
We've been customers for over 20 years. The quality has gone down a little through the years but still 4 stars. The food is good, overpriced, but good and the staff is cool. My BIGGEST concern is the cross contamination of the toast. ITS READY TO EAT FOOD and per state food safety requirements gloves or barrier must be used to touch ready to eat food. The servers grab the toast with bare hands after serving and taking payments. I have never seen them wash hands prior. Hey owners: This has gone on forever, isn't it time to correct?
Favorite place to get an omelet! Glad they are back open during covid19. What a wonderful neighborhood gem. I suggest the crepe size southern omlette. Their coffee is the best in town too!
