I was a little shocked that the staff wasn’t wearing masks! I would have walked out but we were really hungry, in a hurry and traveling long distance. Hopefully it wasn’t a huge mistake! The food was good, but when they don’t respect their customers it doesn’t make me want to go back.

This place is been around Redding for a long long time and it is really great.
Clean and fresh, good variety, and very friendly staff. I will look forward to going back there again and trying some other things. Today was a turkey sandwich and a pastrami which was really amazing. Chocolate chip cookies are also to die for!

I love, love, love this place! All of the staff is so nice and friendly. Get their sour dough roll for your bread of choice (you won't be disappointed). Don't listen to all those negative reviews I have never once been disappointed with the food or service. If you are looking for a hometown family restaurant then this is the place for you!

Love this place. Been going there since I was a kid with my grandpa. The owner helps with everything, and they are appreciative of my business. Nice people and nice place, GREAT food!

Passing through town and made a stop for lunch, Don’s sandwich shop knocked our socks off!
Fresh baked sour dough & Dutch crunch! Slow cooked pastrami! Hefty servings with the charm and friendly personality of the sandwich artists.

If this place in Redding is closed, it is with no great loss to the consumer. Unless the consumer has a special taste for turkey loaf and tough beef. Yesterdays' sandwich bread is what you can expect, and well done beef is all you will get, no matter your tastes or your order. You like friendly people to take your order and hand it to you? Forget it. Snide is descriptive of the people here. Poor quality is the standard here. It is a shame to take a good business like this and cut quality, quantity, and raise prices. Eat here only if these things do not matter to you.

Just a warning. None of the employees behind the counter making sandwiches were wearing masks and almost all of the tables were full. I’m sure the sandwiches are great but I’ll take my money elsewhere in times like this. Not worth the risk.
