Busy at lunch, never many for dinner, not much of a selection, small, and loud. *Update: update on the menu, better choices and the best chicken cashew salad in town. Grilled ham n cheese sandwich is also amazing . Bumped it up a couple notches! Very much improved.
You can always expect delicious food and service with a smile at Carnegie's, the best locally owned eatery in downtown Redding.
Service was great. Tomato bisque soup was great....very hot. The tomatoes on my salad tasted funny....like they may not be super fresh.... and I wish I would've ordered ranch instead of the oil and vinegar. Overall its was a nice lunch. 🙂
I called in a to go order and I was there in 15 minutes to pick it up. This is the 2nd time I have ordered in a month. The 1st order was not as good as I remember in the past but today I was thoroughly disappointed. The bread was so thin that when I picked it up it broke in half. The bread was not
Yum. I was excused from jury duty and wanted a quick lunch before heading home. The roast beef and peppers sandwich was scrumptious. The salad was delightful. I definitely recommend the establishment and hope to visit again when I get to Redding.
The waitress is nice the cook was great too there was one lady in a button up shirt and she was just kind of like snubish but the food was really good not that many vegetarian options though there are some but not a lot
The food is average at best, and for the price and atmosphere (the area is homeless epicenter) not enjoyable. Good food. Usually not too crowded so your food comes quickly. Great spot for lunch break downtown.
