Country Kitchen Restaurant & Bakery

This place was great! Very good sized portions and tasty. The toast we had was also made in house and very good. The atmosphere was pleasant, the wait staff friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I would eat here again. My kids were full and satisfied. The youngest got to pick his character for his pancake (An ice cream cone). They also accommodated substitutions, as we are vegetarian.

Have been here now 3 times for steak and eggs each time the steak has been trash I mean come on how hard is it to make a proper steak it’s tasted burnt it’s obvious it is being cooked too hot and too fast the eggs were decent the country potatoes were the best part of the meal that’s why I gave two stars but every time I’ve been here I’ve sent the steak back this last time I didn’t even bother will be last time I come here the service is mediocre the barely give you time to talk then rush off.

First time in this cozy little spot. Had a friend tell me about it. My favorite thing to try in every breakfast place is chicken friend steak. This place knocked it out of the park. And the biscuits taste like they have a grandma from the deep south back there making them. I will def be back...your my new go to Sunday breakfast

Service and quality of service is extremely inconsistent. Its sad, cause I thought I'd found a cute hole in the wall mom and pop kind of place, not a chain restaurant. The first visit was ok, the waitress whispered instead of spoke at a normal volume. But outside of that abnormality, I thought it was still cute enough to make return visits. The last two times, Ive been back the service was really bad and the way the waitresses act & purpose to overcharge customers instead of asking for exacts, is really bad. Its intentional to cost the customer to pay more. A few of the waitresses walked by my table a few times w/o acknowledging my presence or offering a menu, one visit took 15 minutes to receive a menu and the place wasn't busy at all. I am no longer impressed with this little off the beaten path place. And its discouraging cause cute mom & pop places that have a feel all of its own, just adds to a city's charm (sometimes).

The food is excellent, but the price of a cup of coffee is ridiculous. If a customer orders a meal the beverage should be included. I ordered a two egg breakfast and coffee. The cup of coffee cost half as much as the breakfast. I understand this is a business, but nearly $4 for a cup of black coffee is excessive.
