So glad I found this place! This is the type of place I love! Small town old school bar, tucked away in an old fashion hotel. Very unique, electric, original. The atmosphere was inviting, could be intinate because it's dimly lit but you can easily go alone or with a friend. Leather chairs, couches, wood everywhere, neat view of the downtown area. Service was quick, friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. We had the wings, onion rings, a root beer and a blue moon. Definitely coming back!

Loved it! We both had "flat bread" and I would order it again and again. Kind of a limited menu. I have always heard "keep the menu small & what you make, make well". Good beer choices. English Pub. Very cool.

Food & liquor was great. Place was well decorated and classy. Service was sub par. Got there, not busy, and there are 3 people in and out of the bar. One polishing glasses and pouring water. Two others, each half bar tending, half serving—each stomping on each other for my food/drink order. Super confusing

Old world elegance in Red Wing. Quiet and comfortable. They have a nice selection of Scotch, Irish and Bourbon. Friendly staff. Great place to relax with pleasant conversation.

Jimmy's is a great, intimate setting for an after-dinner drink. Rich wood interior with a working fireplace, professional staff, live music. We sat under a window near the bar and enjoyed a great view of downtown Red Wing and the surrounding valleys. I highly recommend this as a must-try while enjoying the town and the St. James Hotel.

Upscale pub, nice but somewhat dark interior (think old tyme Cigar pub without any of the 'cigar' issues) - very enjoyable "day time" atmosphere but I find anything after the sun has set to be too dark for my comfort.
Can definitely be a "couples" date spot as sitting 'personal space' close is almost a prerequisite of the space.
They do a great job of mixing drinks that are always "strong enough". Good selection of food options - but take note that the selections are distinct from the Veranda and The Port which are also on site.

Oh man this place is really magical. Dark wood interior, a roaring fireplace, a well dressed bartender making classic martinis, Downton Abby playing on the TV. This ain't the Rusty Nickel sports bar, I tell you what. You get a sense of class, a sense of elegance. A sense of a time long since past, but somehow the slightest part of it is stored here, frozen as if in amber, just waiting for your to discover it. Of course, you have to drive all the way to damn Red Wing, which is a bummer, but it's totally worth it! Also buy some boots next door while you're there.
