Fantastic food with great service. The burgers are fresh and tasty. The pop and water are self service, and the family loved that for all the water we consume. Highly recommend and hope to be back soon!

I asked for my burger well done and it was delicious and juicy. The beer was ice cold too! This was our 1st time at the Sugar Shack and we will definitely be back. Indoor seating is a bit crowded but still comfortable and there was quite a bit more seating outside and covered.

I've been here twice; once in the off season and once in tourist season. Both times burgers were excellent. Outside tables were full during tourist season, but we did find an inside table. Drinks are cold, fries are crispy, and burgers are delicious. Totally worth the stop!

They are the best burgers I've had on my trip from Ind. to Colorado to New Mexico to Arizona to Utah to Wyoming to here. And I had a lot of buyers on this trip. I give them a 10. Small shack on side of road. So name is fitting would like to see them on Diners ,drive-ins,and dives. They are cooking right inside if door. It's on the way to Deadwood,South Dakota from Custer,South Dakota.

Simply a jewel of a place. Quintessential dive restaurant with outstanding staff and food. They’re known for their burgers and also their outstanding breakfast. They have a lot of awards and some of the food networks have been to visit them. Do yourself A favor when visiting the Black Hills, stop for that burger or an outstanding breakfast and meet the crew. My family and I were staying in this area so we stopped for breakfast one day and dinner the next. We absolutely LOVED this place along with it's outdoor seating. It's a cute country style restaurant with delicious food and priced affordably. The staff were friendly and very accepting of our pup. Try the pancakes - they're as big as the plate and delicious! If we find ourselves in this area again we will most definitely be back!

Oh my goodness,it's so worth the drive from Rapid (great scenery whichever road you take to get there.) Fridayis my favorite because they have a fish fry with all you can eat fish that includes the dinner roll, coleslaw and fries. Their breakfast is delicious, their lunch is delicious everything is delicious there! I will have to say though if you have someone in a wheelchair, it would be very difficult to get in and out and the only way to go to the bathroom is downstairs that have some steep small steps. This is not a big restaurant so seating is limited but they do have outdoor seating. Definitely worth going to ❤️
