Its good. Its 2 days in a row good. The Oxtail is delicious. The goat curry is delicious. The chicken curry is delicious. The dumplings are delicious. The jerk chicken is delicious. This place is a new favorite. The kind of food that makes you keep eating after you are full and cannot fit another bite.
This place is not only one of the best restaurants in rapid city it’s also some of the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had. Please support this place. It’s a gem in city with not a lot of good food.
We went there for dinner one day prior to going to Mount Rushmore and let me tell you one thing- if you want to feel the taste of home cooked food as well as want to try out Jamaican cuisine for the first time I’d definitely highly recommend this place. Hands down the best home cooked Jamaican food I’ve ever had. I wish I could go there frequently. The lady that was serving there was such an amazingly wonderful person, all my friends including me felt motherly affection from her. She’s an extremely caring and nice lady. We love how kind and generous you are ma’am. And best oxtail I’ve ever tasted 🤩
FYI- I’m reviewing this place after 1.5 years of my trip so this should tell you ‘how lazy I’m’ and how amazing this place is that I still remembered them and wanted to review.
Incredible food! The owner is such a sweet woman and you can tell she takes pride in her cooking and restaurant. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We will definitely be back to try some of the oxtail
Really delicious home cooking. The brown stew pork is pictured. We also got the brown stew chicken and jerk chicken. Definitely get some hot sauce...it's yummy!
Great tasting food, but they need to work a few kinks out. First, have ALL your food ready by 11:30am at the latest for the lunch crowd. Most of us only have 30 or 45 minutes, so we can't wait. Secondly, the portions are big, but it's mostly rice. Keep the portions big, but cut back on the rice and increase the protein. Other than that - great job. Very yummy. Thank you.
Some of the best Jamaican I've ever had and I've been to Jamaica! Definitely a gem of a place. Everything was good, from the cabbage to the jerk chicken and oxtail.
I ordered the oxtail, jerk chicken, and brown stew dishes for delivery to our house and I was surprised at the portions. It lasted both of us a whole week! Everything was so delicious! The oxtail is definitely my favorite. PLEASE never change the recipe! Everything was perfect! We'll definitely order here again.
Don’t walk RUN to this place and devour the deliciousness! We were in SD on vacation and I was overjoyed when I saw they had Jamaican food. The Jamaican food truck where I lived shut down a couple years ago. Anyway, this place is legit and delicious! I’m going to tell you what I tell everyone you need to get the ox tail, curry goat and jerked chicken! It’s just beyond delicious and I’m so happy we found it! The owner was also extremely kind and delightful.
I was there a month ago and I wanted to share my experience. First the cook was very nice! Then you also have to factor in how are they getting all of these ingredients because believe me it is good! For south dakotans that don't understand, oxtail takes a while to get tender! It was nice and refreshing to get such awesome Jamaican food in beautiful South Dakota! Blessings!
