You're mind will be blow by the view. It's like your transported to another world. As soon as your seated and you're order is taken, it's like your in heaven. A titch overpriced.

Lovely and cozy space. During my stay at the Alex Johnson I ran up to the Sky Bar after a long day with a book and asked if could just chill and have a cup of tea. Within moments a friendly staff member brought me a warm cup of tea and all the fixings. Made my day!
Always fun to come here when we stay at the A.J.H. Specactular views, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you feel like spoiling yourself for a couple of hours.

Five stars for delicious cocktails, food, and atmosphere. Too expensive though. We will probably make this a once per year special evening because it really is that nice. Reading other reviews, I hear that having a membership does not give one great benefits other than being able to get in. Also looked into the membership myself once and saw it gave 10% discounts at a few other bars/restaurants associated with the company that runs this place. I guess they want to keep the riff raff out. So if I'm riff raff, I'll be staying out except for one special evening per year. :) The view from the top was great. The fire pits wonderful. Service very good. No complaints except for price.

The best scenery and atmosphere in Rapid City, and the Cheese plate is a great value. The fish taco's are good as well. Please stock a different NA beer. I'm not fond of Kaliber. Overall, an essential Rapid City experience.
This place is my favorite place in Rapid! The bartending staff is always spot on with the cocktails and the view is the best. Relaxing and fun at the same time!

The panoramic view from the top is quite lovely, as you can see the entirety of Rapid City while enjoying a drink or two outdoors. The drinks are a little steeper on the price but that makes sense as it is quite fancier than its sister bar on the ground floor.
Some of the best cocktails in the city, and definitely the best staff! The food has also been exquisite so far! Everything I've had has been superb, I highly recommend the steak sandwich. Finally, the view! Rapid City is very pretty to overlook at night.
Went for dinner and drinks, sat on the lower rooftop. Great atmosphere. I had the open faced steak sandwich, very good. SO had the chicken pasta and said it was just ok. Drinks were good, little pricey but expected for where we were. We had a great time.
Great location. View is panoramic but mostly rooftops so look out to the edges of town! Our drinks were well made and the small plates(appitizers) were quite filling and tasty. Our creme brulee was excellent. All of the servers were knowledgable about the dishes, friendly and very helpful. We sat and talked and ate for 3 hours in a great atmosphere. Good evening!
It was so beautiful. The view of the city was amazing. I had a comfy time by the fires outside which made it dreamy. The food was excellent, had the fish. And sipped on a corona. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect night.

Being that this is one of the only spots in rapid city, South Dakota I must say I enjoyed it. This bar is located inside of a hotel on the 10th floor. To go on the 10th floor, you need valet to lead you up. Upon arrival valet was going to bring us up but a group of young ladies gave us their card to go up being that the elevator could not take a lot of people. Really love the inside and outside of this bar. Coming out of the elector there’s indoor seating, and there’s also outdoor seating with a fireplace and heating to warm you up. You could all go further up and basically be on the roof of the hotel. The view gets better once your on the roof. We wanted to sit outside but it was just too cold for us so we sat in side the upper rooftop area and was greeted by Alex. We initially came to order just appetizers then cruise the city to be disappointed because everything closes at 9. Nonetheless I ordered a Cherry Poppin Fiz, and Prosciutto and Arugula flatbread. 10/10! I was really nervous about the Cherry Poppin Fiz but I enjoyed the freshness of it and the taste of cherry throughout the whole drink. The flatbread surprised me. Everything about it screamed freshness and tasty seasoning. The only thing I could say about both of these items is more cherries in the drink and bigger or longer flatbread to be shared among the table. Wait staff were friendly and checked in frequently. The atmosphere out on the deck was exactly what I was looking for to have a nice dinner with my wife.
Appetizers and drinks were great, the filet the wife had was also great, but the Dry aged NY was a poor cut. The parts not rubbery and lined with elastin, gristle, that I could eat were tasty. Unfortunately it was about a third of the steak being wasted.
