I'm about to book my fifth stay at Rangeley Town And Lake. I'm not terribly picky and just need a comfortable base camp for hiking kayaking and sightseeing around the area. I guess my favorite thing is that I just feel comfortable there, watching the ducks patrol the grounds, eagles swooping down and around, the sea place taking off and landing, the "through-hikers pausing one last time on the AT. It's not fancy and not expensive, though they do have fancy new suites I hear. Come, unplug, and enjoy a beautiful lake nestled in the mountains of Western Maine.
This is a friendly motel right on the shore of beautiful Rangeley Lake, with plenty of shore frontage to relax and enjoy yourself. Joe and Cheryl are always friendly and helpful, very customer oriented. Housekeeping does a nice job, too. I spent 3 days there with a friend and will be back there 3 more times this summer. Enjoy!
Great location for sledding, cabins are right on the lake, access to ITS trails are so easy. Restaurants are all situated in the area, fireplace with cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff & ownership.
Stayed for weekend as a break from hiking appalachian trail which crosses nearby. Very much enjoyed stay - close to shops and right on lakeshore.
Small cabins on the water, quaint, but very nice and set up well.
My family has been coming up here since 1954 and will be for another 70 years. Town and lake is an amazing quaint get away! The wifi isn't the greatest but with the views and nature around here you shouldn't need any technology. The fishing is amazing, the people are spectacular, and the air is fresh! The beds are comfortable and the shower water pressure is awesome!
