What a delightful restaurant from the time we were greeted by the valet, the receptionist, and our waitress, and the staff. They served us with enthusiasm and joy and even helped my husband surprise me with an anniversary gift during the dessert time!
Both my husband and I enjoyed our anniversary dinners! They served us a lemon meringue dessert to top off the perfect evening !

The dining experience was Great minus a few hiccups from our server's. Felt like we were forgotten for a while but other than that. Wallys is amazing for our first experience here. Can't wait to come back. The menu is Great and Andrew did help with Any questions we may have had!! Great job.

This place was awesome we took a seat at the bar. Extremely good live music very nice and friendly staff. The food is fantastic I had the best mushroom soup I have ever had and if you are going definitely get the chocolate souffle. Everything was great from start to finish all the way from the valley to the bar service and back to the valet.

Classic atmosphere, great food, and excellent service. I have been a local resident for 20 years and have never had dinner at Wally's before. I was told jackets and ties were required so I was never very interested. Well my wife and I wanted to do something different for our anniversary so we decided to give it a try. Well jackets are no longer required but most of the guests dressed up anyways. The ambiance was dated but not in a bad way, it felt like you were going back in time to experience real fine dining. Our servers were very pleasant and attentive and the "new" owner even stopped by our table to wish us well. Overall definitely worth the experience.

Wally's is superb. I've been a couple of times. Top-notch and attentive service throughout the dinner experience. Excellent food all around; I can think of very little to complain about. The atmosphere is semi-formal. I have been most comfortable dressing "fancy" however I've seen other patrons come in completely casual. Live soft music is a very pleasant addition to the experience and is particularly nice when sitting in the bar area. It is expensive to eat here but I feel it is well worth it.

I would highly recommend this place over and over and over again. Came here for valentines and was not disappointed. Truly first class wonderful experience better than hotel fine dining and other fine dining spot I have experienced everything is just wonderfully fresh the price is reasonable. My wife who is a gourmet cook couldn't stop raving about the Caesar salad and her braised short ribs were so tender, they melted in her mouth. The White fish was cooked perfectly. And the Lava cake dessert was off the charts!

We chose Wally's Desert Turtle for our important FMBK Saturday Evening Retreat Dinner. The Dinner at Wally's Desert Turtle was amazing. Our servers, Ashley and Max took care of our group and were wonderful to work with, the dinner was spot on, and the room was stunning. Highly recommended.

Started out with the Cesar salad, and it was not good at all. Their was no green to the salad used and even sorta brown on the edges of the centers of romaine. The dressing was horrible, and the chef thinks if you throw a couple anchovies on it, it makes it a cesar salad. I told the staff and the waiter didn't even acknowledge it. I would suggest not ordering it and get the daily salad special as others in my party said it was good. I ordered the filet, which was cooked medium rare to perfection and a great cut of beef, but the crusted horseradish crust looked more like a patty of brown sugar than crusted horseradish. For the price and what I received, it was definitely not 5 star quality. We were there for a birthday and the two deserts we go were very good. The service was excellent. The staff was very attentive with refilling the warm bread and butter, keeping our waters filled, etc. Overall, there are much better steakhouses than Wallys. I don't think we will go back.

A hallmark of great institutions is continuity…Wally’s is a case study. I learned it’s been in the same family for 40 years and some members of the service staff have been their for decades. In an industry where turnover is all too common, Wally’s has solved this. Kudos to the management for building such a fine establishment.

On Father's Day, my sons Carlton and Teon decided to give us a first time family visit to Wally's Desert Turtle. Greetings with smiles from the valet parkers was just the beginning. As the doors to the restaurant opened, we were greeted by the Botello family and staff. As we were escorted to our table, the scenery and decor was breathtaking. The wine was exceptional!!! Now the chef that prepared that exquisite meal gave the food, including dessert, a taste from heaven. The music by Michael L Bolivar was soothing with jazzy vibes. Thanks for all the genuine love.

We are part time Residents of the Desert. Live in Australia and travel a lot. One complaint we have always had is that the area is a wasteland for good restaurants. Last night some friends wanted to take us out to farewell us and promised we would not be disappointed. They were right. Wally’s was wonderful. Great food and service plus that oh so lacking today.......personal interaction.
The owner Michael is very special but all his staff were also great. Michael you will be seeing a lot more of us when we are back November and December.
To all skeptics or people looking for a genuine qualified review. Wally’s is a great experience but more importantly a foodies delight. Well cooked and presented food. Great service and an I’ll be back promise.

On a wave of nostalgia I wanted to take my husband for our anniversary, and boy, it did not disappoint: The ambience, servers (Ginny, in particular) and host were delightful, the food divine. The food is always exceptional. But the ambience makes the experience the best ever. It is beautiful and one of the few places where you can carry a conversation and hear everyone. The Best Food and Service. Undoubtedly, this is one of the most satisfying dining experiences we have enjoyed in several years of visiting the desert.<br/><br/>The starter salads were fresh and tasty. Bay shrimps served on fresh, delicate butter lettuce and a Cesar my husband pronounced to be one of the best he has ever had.<br/><br/>The main courses at our table were pork tenderloin, steak and chicken. All of them presented with such care there looked almost too good to eat. Without exception, the meals were scrumptious.<br/><br/>Also worthy of mention is some of the finest service in the valley. And very warm hospitality from the owners. I was on crutches as a result of a recent injury and received wonderful care and concern.<br/><br/>Hoping to see you soon.

Ok, to b honest it's a kinda cool place because I've always liked people who refuse to change for others. Who am I to say they are completely outdated and will most likely b closed in a few years when their clientele has passed on. They know what they are. I'm just surprised that they don't do the mains better. It's all sooooo old school, not in a good way though. But I don't think it's fair to knock them. It's not made for foodies or youngsters or people who like food, it's made for special occasions with your parents or grandparents. Summed up, it's very old school but not in a hip way and really quite surprising it's still around. It's a throwback to old palm springs and to mashed potatoes pressed into swirly shapes and carrots and broccoli stacked on your plate. TURTLE POWER!
