El Torito

Visited midweek in the late afternoon. Wasn't greeted upon arrival because the two hostesses on duty were busy discussing their schedules and complaining about other employees; I had to ask them to seat me. I was seated in the area adjacent to the bar. No one came to my table for a good five minutes or more--I should've left right then but had some paperwork to finish while I grabbed a bite to eat. My food (sampler plate) and beverage (iced tea) order was finally taken by the bartender who was waiting tables and prepping drinks. To say he was unattentive is an understatement. The food arrived, but no utensils or beverage--I had to go ask for both. The food was subpar to say the least, left most of it, ate the chips and salsa though. On another note, the staff used the side door to go out for smoke breaks; good thing no customers were sitting on the patio because they smoked and chatted next to that area and within the vision of customers inside the restaurant...YUCK! Also, the door shut very hard every time they went in and out which was startling. When they came back in, a strong odor came with them...DOUBLE YUCK! Bottom line--I won't be going back here!

Staff is always very welcoming, I have plenty of other choices in this area, but always return to this place. Hector is my favorite bartender, he is very attentive and has great customer service. Michelle is the best manager I've encountered in my 4 years of visiting there. She assures the customers & myself are pleased with the food & service. Great job!!

Had a delicious lunch with my mum and grandmother after work. Everyone there was friendly and accomadating. Our waitress was very professional and a very sweet lady. She knew how to make us happy. She also held my soup until I made it to the restaurant. I had my mum order for me. I ordered the chicken tortillas soup. I was running late, so when I finally made it to the restaurant she brought my soup out for me. The restaurant was very clean. The restroom was also very clean. Which is a big deal anywhere you go. Our lunch was kind of quick, so I didn't pay attention to too much else. I can say that I enjoyed my visit and my lunch.

Never going back. We didn't like the food or the very bad service. Asked for a tea spoon for our coffee and we got a soup spoon. Asked for dinner ware and they just placed a pile of forks and knives on the table. I only eat less than half of my rubbery steak. Been to El Torito at other locations and the restaurants are way better than this one, I guess ultimately the entire experience depend on the people serving and cooking, not the building and name.

The waitress was nice they work like a team here. I bought all you can eat tacos. They are serving fresh tacos here. They don't let the food set out in the open like all the other El Torito places. You set down and they send the food to you. I think she said they might be leaving the food out like Chinese Restaurants in a month from now.
