I ordered seafood Sukiyaki and the dish was very good! The taste and the quality of the food is excellent and the price is very affordable. Their portions are large as well.

Wednesday at 5pm isn't the busiest time for Botan, and that is surprising. Their service time is excellent, staff patient, and the general atmosphere is calming and welcoming to a hungry lad looking for a good roll. The complimentary ice cream probably influenced this very positive review a bit too. So good

We always order the Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box and select the tempura with the gyoza. The service is awesome and you can tell that it is a nice mom and pop authentic atmosphere. Wonderful relaxing music while we enjoy our dinner. Sushi Chef Roger always makes the special rolls for my family.

They now have the rules of there all you can scarf posted. Still a dumb policy IMO.
I sucked up my pride and gave them another try. SINCE I WAS BY MYSELF. (Policy if you want AYCE) Good stuff Menard! Lots of choices of tasty sushi and sashimi at a great price.

First I will say that I really like the nigri and sashimi. As for much else it's kinda so so. Returned for the second time with a group of six including me since I was really impressed with the extensive all you can eat menu. My first visit was great. On the second surprise! Unless our entire party is ordering the all you can eat dinner, you can't have it. Not that that exception is posted anywhere. So if you see their sign out the on the road and that's what you want. Keep driving unless you can convince everyone with you to order the all you can eat menu. Terrible policy in my opinion.

For the price the sushi is excellent 5.95 for rolls! Um yes please! And it's not drenched in sauce like some other places . This place felt real or at least as " authentic" you can get in Rancho Cordova X). Location and restaurant atmosphere is some what lacking but it kinda like a neat little well kept secret . Over all it is now my new go to spot

Update: As of 3/15/2019, this restuarant appears to have closed their doors for good. They were locked up tight during business hours.

Always a tasty and filling lunch for less than $10 get bento box with miso soup, meat entrée, tempura, pot sticker, rice and a salad.

the people are nice, the service is great, the food is affordable and the sushi chef actually knows what he's doing. i'd recommend the special rolls but so far it's all been delectable. thanks botan!
