Hands down the best seafood in town and as fresh as it gets! These guys know their fish and always provide killer recommendations if I'm not sure what I feel like cooking. Best yet was the tuna collar - melt in your mouth goodness! I won't buy anywhere else and although we've moved to Durham, driving to the Farmers Market is well worth the trip. Keep it up guys!!!

Got a dozen Stump Sound oysters and some black bass filets at the Chapel Hill farmers market from Locals Seafood this am. The oysters were amazing, maybe the best I've ever eaten. The black bass filets were small, pricey but delicious. Will definitely do this again!

Wonderful fish and so nice to have a few exotics on occasion . Great recommendations for preparation, too. Now, if the fishermen wouldn't keep all the tripletail for themselves!

Can always find fresh seasonal seafood that are caught sustainably off the coast of NC. I've met 2 of their staff (NC State Farmer's Market), Steve & Kent, who have always been nice and offered great information & recommendations. They always try to give me a good selection (e.g. making sure the crab has both claws on). I had blue crabs last week and they were so delicious - sweeter than any other times I had blue crabs -- well at least as good as ones we caught ourselves in CT but maybe it was because fruits of your own labor is always the sweetest :-)

I have never received anything but the freshest of fish from these folks at chapel Hill Farmer's Mkt. What is the most enjoyable is being able to try varieties of fish that don't keep well and don't usually make it to market. Great product sold by friendly knowledgeable folks. One bit of advice for walk-up customers is to get there early for the best choice. That said there is always something good available.

Love to get seafood from localsseafood and it's always fresh and delicious. They are also super helpful with tips for keeping it fresh until you can cook it or for an "easy" recipe. Highly recommend this "local" business for their high quality and superior seafood!
