I have eaten here a couple of times. The food has been delicious. The pricing is in line with the amount of food I received. The staff and volunteers always seem to be smiling and I feel like everyone here is genuinely happy. The concept is awesome and I believe they are doing an amazing service for people.

The food at APATT is amazing...the chai waffles were to die for! The concept is wonderful and I am so glad that a “pay what you can” restaurant has come to downtown Raleigh. It’s a must try for everyone!!!

Such an amazing place! I didnt know what to expect and I was blown away. The food was absolutely delicious. It is run so well and is such a great concept. We paid the suggested price for our food and then volunteered. It felt great to support. We need more places like this out there! Try the Cheddar grits!

My friends and I went there while visiting Raleigh. The food was amazing. The service was awesome. Some of them are not dressed to impress, they are working to pay for their meal, but everything and everyone was great. The ambiance was great. We sat outside in the Sun. Loved the food, people and experience. I would definitely recommend everyone to stop by.

Stopped by while visiting Raleigh. A lovely restaurant with a lovely vibe and multiple payment options. Vegan and vegetarian options available. I had the black bean melt, which was delicious. I was disappointed that the side of fruit was just a whole orange cut in half, but it was still tastey. They have a pay what you can system. You can pay the suggested cost for your meal, pay less, pay $10 towards a future meal for someone, or volunteer to work for an hour. There were quite a few volunteers, mostly bussing tables, and they were all very friendly and i had some lovely conversations with them.

Enjoyed the atmosphere here. Everyone was in a good mood and it may have something to do with the idea of knowing you are helping people out by eating here. There's a lot of healthy options here. There was a white security guy they're that was awesome at explaining the menu options. It's the small things that enhance your experience so thank you Mr security man.

Wonderful experience. The food was great. The scrambled eggs were completely cooked, not wet or over cooked. The waffles were amazing. Fluffy and buttery. Bacon was standard issue but good. All for $10, deal. My lovely Brazilian wife said the coffee was the best so far in US. Service is top notch. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Seating is inside on 1st and 2nd floor plus outside. The place is very clean. The tables are cleaned within minutes of stepping away. At A Place at the Table you can actually work for your food. That's right. Short on cash, one hour of work gets you a free/discounted meal. No worries they have a name tag waiting for you. :)

Stopped in this cute little place for breakfast as we rolled through Raleigh NC. Near the Capital building. This cool spot had an awesome biscuit sandwich. We were asked if we thought the price was fair, wanted to pay less, or if we wanted to volunteer an hour of work to pay for our meal. We thought the price was fair and had our breakfast Biscuits. A mound of homemade spicy cheddar biscuit with a thick hand pressed sausage patty and eggs. This was a local contributor to the community. Help locals in need while serving great food.

Very delightful ministry. You pay what you can afford to pay. The staff is mostly volunteers. It's a way of giving back to the community.

I was drawn to this place by it's Mission Statement and reviews. My 1st time visiting with my brother. I had the black bean melt and the spicy cheddar biscuit and the apple coffee cake. Everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were polite and friendly . Place was clean and I loved the room with the sunflowers. Connie the greeter gave us a quick overview of how the place is run and what they do for the people in the community it touched my heart. What a great idea! I was so bless to help support a good cause and whenever I come to visit my brother in Raleigh I'll be sure to visit A Place at the Table and enjoy a good meal, support the community.and possibly meet the owner and congratulate her.

Visiting Raleigh for a short trip. Very friendly and inviting. Food was very fresh and tasty: ordered the breakfast biscuit sandwich, seasonal tomato soup with grilled cheese all prepared freshly on site. Apple cinnamon coffee cake was so delicious served warm. A beautiful concept delivered with love and care. Would definitely visit again!

The idea to pay it forward is great. Everyone was happy and had a smile on their face. The coffee was delicious. They have a concept that you can less or more or pay it forward. True love shines there.
