The original. The best. Quintessential Raleigh coffee shop. Try the spinach breakfast burrito.
Visited this coffee shop on a short trip and was very pleased! The muffins, chai and the random things for sale are all amazing! I was able to purchase some awesome new planters, enjoy a yummy vegan banana chocolate chip muffin, and a homemade dirty chai! Check this place out!!
Let me tell you something. Run (not today because it’s Christmas) and get yourself that breakfast burrito with all the deliciousness tucked perfectly inside. I added crispy bacon. There was lots of spinach and YUM going on. Oh! AND the outside was warm and crispy! They didn’t just throw fillings in a wrap! Crunchy and perfect! I only ate half yesterday, but re-warmed this morning, it was maybe BETTER! SO good! 3rd Place is a great place filled with amazing friendly patrons. GO!
*I wish I’d shot a photo. 🤷🏽♀️
Cute coffee shop but I really wish they had vegan options for breakfast food items / small plates. I came here with my cousin and she could only really eat the muffins. The coffee was pretty good though!
I’d never been in before , but went for breakfast on Saturday and thought the place was so cute ! I loved its mix of electric trinkets and gifts , and that there was even loose leaf tea you could purchase. It was busy and clear this was a hangout spot for people living in the surrounding neighborhood. Which I love because you could tell they loved their regulars. Once we were able to order the service was fast and everyone was friendly !
A very unique coffee shop nestled off Glenwood, their coffee options are what you would expect from the friendly and calm atmosphere. A great spot to work and dog friendly with its outdoor seating. Its a perfect casual meeting spot.
Very cute, cozy spot for a quick breakfast. Loved the neighborhood atmosphere. We got breakfast sandwiches and lattes, and they were simple and tasty. For sure recommend if you’re in the five points area for the day.
The smoothie and the burrito were excellent. The vegan chocolate banana muffin was amazing! Service was a little slow but still friendly!! Saturday morning seems busy there, which we like to see! We can’t wait to come back!
I gave 5 stars bc I want this place to succeed so badly, but hope they take my review seriously. It’s a neighborhood spot that I can walk to, and I’ve been going for years. Lately, the service and quality have gone down hill. Baristas do not know how to steam the milk to make a good latte. It’s always very watery, no froth and burn-your-face-off hot. If you ask for it to be less hot, it’s just a watery mess. They charge $2 for a milk substitute, which is completely unheard of, making a small almond milk latte $6.50, I always tip, so over $7 for a small latte that will end up in the trash bc it’s not good. I go in different days, and at different times, and the experience is always the same. I’m unsure of the trick, bc I see they have recent good reviews. If you know the trick, please let me know! Please Third Place, I just want a good almond milk latte <3 I miss you
Cushy chairs, reliably good eats, and playful monthly drink specials make it an easy neighborhood spot where you’ll find locals hunkered down on laptops, catching up over smoothies, or simply savoring a warm muffin out on the patio. Add in eclectic art (yes, that’s a giant dino skeleton on the back wall) and vintage decor. Great staff, food, drinks, and other items for sale. Small parking lot a little past the store. Only open until noon.
What is "The Third Place"? The third place is a not a physical location, it's not a venue. So what is it? The third place is a feeling, a sense of community and togetherness. The Third Place Coffee Shop is the embodiment of what a third place is. I frequent many coffee shops that aren't anywhere close to what a third place should be. As I looked around almost everyone was engaged in a conversation and enjoying the fellowship that this coffee house facilitates. I was one of only 2 weirdos sitting by themselves on their computer. haha
Their baked goods and other food items looked delicious!
A special thanks to Nzinga who helped me get a better understanding of what a third place really is!
Side note: Their nitro cold brew is actually pretty good. (I don't generally like the nitro brew)
Neighborhood favorite, mostly regulars. Good coffee and nice atmosphere for working. It can get busy so except a line to the door if you come at peak hours. They also occasionally have Tepuy doughnuts.
