The Roast Grill Hot Weiners - Raleigh - Photo album

A must if you want a classic griddle dog with chili and coleslaw. One of the last places to get lunch and a beer for under $15 in downtown Raleigh. I personally don't like ketchup... But if YOU do then this might not be the place for you. 😉🌭
Absolute perfect atmosphere for a hot dog joint. I've had better dogs, but I've never had them at a better spot. Dogs were perfectly charred and the chili was great. The slaw wasn't the best I've had but it didn't take anything away from the dog. Service was as sweet as the Tootsie Roll that was han
Like taking a step back in time in the best way possible. One small lunch counter and 2 small tables. No frills hot dogs, a few simple sides and soft drinks. Hot dogs are cooked perfectly and staff is friendly and attentive. You can also get your dogs to go if its full inside. Definitely recomm
A piece of Raleigh history and delicious to boot. If you're near downtown Raleigh and want some delicious hot dogs, head to the Roast Grill. Where blue collar and white collar pull up to the same bar and dine shoulder to shoulder on well cooked hotdogs, glass bottle cokes, and never a drop of ketc
I went today because I had cash on me because they don't take credit. I usually don't have any money on me. That being said, I love this place. It's one of the last places in Raleigh that remind you of what Raleigh used to be. The owners are not there just to take your money, they treat you like the
This is the definition of old-town Southern dining establishment. I have such a great time when I grab lunch here. The couple that runs the place are incredibly kind, food is amazing and the atmosphere is so down to earth. I love bringing my young son with me here and they always treat him so kindly
You know it's gonna be good when you're standing in line next to a sweet, retired couple that has been consistently eating here for decades. I'm glad I came here right before it opened because the line gets long quick and you want to be able to sit and enjoy the cute diner experience. George and
For a number of years I had heard the legend of the Roast Grill...I had seen it on Man vs Food and just had to try it. One day I noticed a sign on what seemed like an old house for hot dogs and realized I had found it. I walked in and was met by the owner cooking dogs on an old cooktop...there was a
I've had people telling me to come here for years and never had a chance to make it, until now. It was definitely worth the wait! These are easily the best hot dogs I've had. The owners are super nice and carried on great conversation. Can't wait to come back again!
Still love this place. Been coming for years and is a must when in Raleigh. Cash only so bring it with you. Go early or be prepared to wait a spell. It only sits 10 or 12 people inside. Never ask for Ketchup, but who in their right mind, besides a child, asks for Ketchup on a hot dog.
