Fiction Kitchen - Raleigh - Photo album

The Fiction Kitchen is now my favorite vegan spot in Raleigh. The globally inspired menu is creative and flavorful, with fresh, seasonal ingredients. I especially loved the Lion's Mane Rangoons, which was crispy and delicious. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. We also go
The food is absolutely amazing and so is the service. Maddie is the best, I think we’re in love. Or maybe that was just the amazing Tres Leches cake she brought us…
We FINALLY got to try Fiction Kitchen, after years of wanting to! The food was incredible, we got the Lion’s Mane Rangoon to start and the Chick’n n Waffles and Risotto for entrees with the Mac n cheez and pimento cheese fries as sides. Everything was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back!
The Fiction Kitchen is too good! We ordered the vegan mozzarella sticks to share and I got the Impossible Meatloaf which was fantastic. The vegan Chicken and Waffles were also delicious. I really appreciate that they offer fun, non-alcoholic drinks here (I highly recommend the house made spicy ginge
It’s been a while since I’ve been here and I’m glad I was finally able to get a reservation. Absolutely love the vibe inside. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, and the food superb 🤌🏽! We started with the Lion’s Mane Rangoons and Spring Rolls. Both were done well and had really flavorful
I absolutely love Fiction Kitchen! I live in Chapel Hill but it is totally worth the drive to Raleigh because the food is so good. The atmosphere is funky and cozy, the seating arrangement is very thoughtful. The owner/chef Caroline and her staff are awesome! And you really can't go wrong with an
I am not a vegan (I want to be) but this place is delicious! The mozzarella sticks YUM!! And our server (hey B) was amazing. Great drinks too!
It's a great way to see the cutting edge of vegan food technology done very, very well. It's not necessarily healthy with a lot of deep fried, batter-dipped offerings. It's not exactly fighting against processed foods as many meat and cheese substitutes are a multitude of chemically processed myst
This was my first time trying this place as a birthday vegan joint! It’s nothing fancy as far as the location spot itself but the food is prepared like it’s a fancy place for real. We ordered 3 appetizers (cornbread, lettuce wraps, & wanton ragoons) which were all scrumptious & bursting with flavor.
I’ve had many vegan meals in my lifetime, and this was among the best — and DEFINITELY the best I’ve had in a restaurant. Food was innovative and layered while not being picky or pretentious. Atmosphere was excellent and casual. Service was very personalized and attentive. Drinks menu was varied and
Very excited to review this spot. I haven't found too many restaurants I'd like to frequent in Raleigh but this is ABSOLUTELY one of them. Started with a fantastic sangria cocktail and fried mushrooms (better than any calamari I've ever had). Had the risotto which was deliciously BURSTING with flavo
I've been coming here for quite a while now - but have only recently come back a few more times since moving back into the Triangle. I've always had such a positive experience here. It's nice to have a place I can take my partner to (who is vegan) and not have to worry about her limiting her options
What a great find! I was only in Raleigh for a day but I'm so glad I stumbled across The Fiction Kitchen. The skillet cornbread was great and I am in love with the Thai skewers. The flavors of everything were so present and tasty. And the truffles and mousse to top it off was superb. My sweet tooth
Nothing but amazing words for this place. First location is prime: very intimate setting, parking is right across the street, close to everything you need downtown. The customer service is stellar here as well. I have had the same waitress every time I visit & she is amazing. She knows how to explai
We had a wonderful dinner here. The staff was so friendly and inviting, service and food were quick. We started with the lions mane Rangoon, I got the farmers market special and my boyfriend got the chicken and waffles. Everything was delicious!! My meat eater boyfriend said he forgot the chicken wa
Absolutely superb and creative vegan cooking, and I'm not even remotely vegetarian. Best dish of chicken and waffles in town. Decadent chocolate mousse that I would have sworn had dairy in it, but it didn't. Happy to eat here and I don't miss the meat one bit!
I don't always eat vegan but when I do I want to come here. Such friendly and accepting staff. The food was fresh and tasty. It seemed very healthy and I wouldn't have known it was Vegan I didn't know ahead of time. I recommend you try it.
Amazing vegan food and drinks. I wanted everything on the menu but decided on the “chicken” and waffles. It was really good with fresh honey, strawberries and what tasted like fried chicken. Their cocktails are great too. Also loved their vegetable fries and mushroom fried “calamari”. Whatever
This was my first visit to fiction kitchen and I was definitely impressed. It was a long wait though, it took 45 minutes to get seated but it was worth the wait. They had a lot of options to go with and I decided to try the"chicken" and waffles. It was a great choice, the mock chicken tasted pretty
