I had the oxtail it was so tender and delicious best oxtail in the world. It just melt in your mouth and let’s not talk about the jerk chicken. That was delicious.

If you're in queens and want just an explosion of deliciousness in your own home? Then this is the place to pick it up from. It's my go-to spot in Jamaica for cheat days. They have the best oxtails and vegetable rice around. The rice is seriously addictive. They also have a slamming hot sauce. You have to ask for the real hot hot sauce tho. Because they used to give me another hot sauce before a regular told me of this one. If you like perfectly spiced, fall off the bone, absolutely delicious oxtails. If you also like them with magic rice that you can eat buckets of till you explode in delicious rice goodness, then this is the place to get it from. They do not have any seating. This is a takeout-only spot. They also load up the containers. No skimping here. The staff is always nice as well. Keep up the good work guys.
I ordered food from St. Best Jerk Spot today through GRUBHUB. First off, the large Oxtail order was excellent! They gave a generous amount of oxtail, the way you should receive, when a large order is made.
The oxtail meat was soft, juicy and slid off the bone ! The white rice was soft and supple and the gravy was to die for!!! Their sweet plantain was sweet and tasty ( I would of preferred a little softer ) but the bottom line is that the dish hit my stomach w/delight.
Their Lemonade - Ginger drink was refreshingly ice cold (although it was delivered frozen ) it was tasty, once thawed out.
Last but not least, the delivery was consummated ahead of schedule, and on time. Moreover, the driver was friendly and respectful. The overall experience from delivery, quality and taste of the large oxtail order, was very good.
Damn Good Food. PERIOD.
The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We highly recommend it !!!! My favorite dish is the Oxtails, Rice & Peas!

Jerk chicken is delicious great food.
Let me tell you.....I had just come back from my gym routine which included swimming, as was famished. I was heading to another Soul Food Restaurant in the neighborhood when I was told to try BEST JERK! I was truly not disappointed. The Jerk Chicken, the Cabbage, the Rice, the Plantains, AND THE SAUCE!!! I will definitely be a regular customer and Everyone should follow suit. I know it's on my favorite place to eat list!!!!
The associated make you feel welcome unlike ton of restaurant. They treat everybody equally. The restaurant are clean and well organized. The price are good. St Best J S are one of the best ( if it's not the best) Jamaican restaurant i know in New York.
No wonder i travel from Yonkers to Queens
They either read my previous review or have just seen my face too many times. The service here has changed! Not drastically but at least now I get a hi from some of the cashiers. Theyve even gone as far as having light conversation with me. Wow! I have a better experience when I come here now.
Four stars for the improvements in service and the food I get being consistently great. Jerk chicken with lots of sweet sauce, curry shrimp (beware its spicy), red pea soup, pigeon pea soup and chicken soup are always on point. And I've come for soup after 730 and gotten it (win!) Nomore running out soup by 6 Hooray!
I've noticed they started selling additional items. I'm pretty sure it's just whatever the chef feels like for the day. I've seen codfish fritters, sliced bun and cheese, and today they had sliced packaged fruit so it is pretty random.
The food is delicious I had the oxtails dinner heaping portions rice and beans a little skimpy on the oxtails which is AMAZING..THE FOOD IS DEFINITELY GOOD BECAUSE THEY WERE PRETTY MUCH SOLD OUT OF EVERYTHING AND I CAN SEE WHY.
THE BEST WEST INDIAN IN QUEENS!!!!! I know that’s a huge statement, but they truly are. Food is extra tasty, flavorful and portions are generous. I love this place. It’s a shame it took me 4 years after moving close by to finally try them.
