We come here often to enjoy some of the best sushi our city has to offer. If you’re lucky you’ll get Abril as your waitress. She is by far the best waitress we’ve ever had at any restaurant. She’s friendly & informative about the menu & always on top of it. We love Happy Sumo. So fresh and always hits the spot.

They've got a huge selection of rolls and food that isn't sushi.

Service and atmosphere were great, we got our food in a timely manner and waiter kept the drinks consistently full. Food was great, definitely recommend the Vegas Roll. They had little pictures of all the rolls on the menu and it was really helpful.

Enjoyed their Vegas and Cabana rolls. Service was quick and the sushi was pretty good! The waitress was attentive and quick to refill our drinks and I appreciate that.
Overall we enjoyed it, but the price did seem higher than other comparable sushi places.

This was my first time eating here. The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. We made reservations for a large graduation party, due to graduation going long, we needed to change our reservation time and they were very helpful.

Food is always top quality here! Very good environment. I got the sunshine roll and you could really taste the lemon. The mango mama is one of the best rolls in their menu!

Very fast and efficient service. We had the crispy calamari, miso soup, Venus roll, and the Siam Street Noodle entree. The calamari was average, not very much flavor. The miso soup and sushi were fantastic. The noodles were okay, but definitely lacked flavor as well.

I ate here as a table of 8 and unfortunately the service was extremely slow. It took a long time to get drinks and order food and felt very rushed to leave.
However, the food was actually really nice. I had the tofu peanut rice dish and it was great, the chicken bento box and the orange chicken dishes were wonderful too. Great value also. I would definitely return for the food but I hope the service will improve.

Nice ambiance and the menu is pretty large! If you're looking for authentic Japanese sushi this probably isn't the place for you, but if you're in need of some fun rolls they have a ton. I'm not the biggest fan of raw fish and there were a decent amount of non-fish dishes.

Stopped by for lunch. You know how I like sushi. I've been wanting to try Happy Sumo for a while, having heard good things. I was underwhelmed. Service was great. Food was just okay. I was surprised. There were a couple of rolls I didn't want to finish. Maybe it was an off day? It wasn't bad enough to ward you away, but it's not a place I will add to my rotation. I also felt like the cost was higher than average, which negatively affected my overall feelings. Give it a try and tell me your thoughts.

Food was great, our server was very helpful with the menu. She was always there right as we needed her. Annie also stopped by and checked on us and made our visit special for us since it was our anniversary. It is a great memory and we look forward to coming back.

Happy Sumo is one of the best spots in Provo for higher end sushi. It isn't cheap, but it's also not unreasonably expensive for good sushi. The hibachi options are good too, but I definitely go for the sushi. Expect $15-20 per roll.

We went here for my husbands birthday. The sushi is the freshest in Utah county. His favorite is the dragon roll. Wonderful atmosphere, and we were seated right away. Live music was going on outside, which made for the perfect night. Highly recommend Happy Sumo.
