We have been to Communal a few times, and it's always a wonderful treat. I love the seasonal menu, and the great variety that is offered. The staff is always so friendly, and clearly have a good knowledge of the menu, and what can be expected from each dish.
First time at Communal Restaurant and plan on going back again. When we arrived they told us the wait would be 50-55 mins, we decided to wait it out and there was no regret or disappointment.
The service was amazing, bar none. The food was some of the best food I have had in Years! I seriously wanted to lick the plate, but I sopped up every morsel I could, leaving nothing to waste.
The chef had a moment to talk, as I shared my incredible experience he was so humble and gracious.
I would rate this establishment a 10 +++++ , the atmosphere was enjoyable, the staff was all incredible and the food exceeded expectations by leaps and bounds.
Our family reserved a table here for the first time at communal, and I’ll say that it will definitely NOT be the last time we go.
The food was absolutely incredible! The patty melt’s flavors were incredible in the mouth— decadent and the right amount of sweet. Not to mention that the fish tacos were refreshing to eat— my mother finished them all— and the steak sandwich made us all want more.
The staff was so kind and quick with our order. Seriously 5/5 and will be back in the future for breakfast!
Best breakfast in Provo! We had the banana bread to start (which is enormous and all too delicious) with the fluffy egg madam—whose eggs were enviously fluffy, buns were supremely fresh, and other toppings harmonized perfectly—and the funeral potato waffle topped with eggs over easy. The only thing the waffle lacked was hot sauce, which they have upon request; request I did, and the only thing that could make it better would be fried chicken breast. Add that and I’ll be back within a week of the announcement.
Coffee was good, service was friendly and personable, atmosphere was what one hopes for.
It was my first time trying this place and we came for brunch. It had a nice atmosphere. It was in a fun location. We just got water to drink. We really wish there was ice in the water, it was just room temperature which I am not a fan of. We tried the tostada and the chorizo gravy and biscuits. Both were yummy and had good flavor.
Deserves 4.5 stars for sure. The hummus app was the best we’ve ever had. Very interesting mix. Served with fresh root vegetables and flat bread. The chicken ($42 for half chicken) cooked perfectly moist but would have preferred a crispy skin. Carrots fabulous. Carrot cake for dessert another must. Cooks and the service is top notch. Very comfortable seating.
Breakfast the next morning - eggs, crispy bacon, the biscuit OMG fabulous. Only complaint was weak coffee.
Can’t wait to return.
Food 9.5/10- this restaurant provides a unique dining experience of sharing the dishes that you order with your group. Each dish we ordered was delicious and had fresh flavors. Potatoes were a tad salty. Trout was delicious, light and juicy. Salads were fresh and light. Desserts were both delicious. Definitely not disappointed by the food
Atmosphere: 10/10- very cohesive theme and decor throughout the restaurant. Classy and minimalist. Everything felt thoughtful. Seating was separated (from the reviews previous it sounds like they changed it from two large tables to separate seating for parties)
Service: 9/10 very accommodating, despite us not have a reservation, they were able to squeeze us in. Server was polite and attentive.
I went to brunch at Communal with a friend this week. The food was amazing! We split an eggs Benedict and a French toast. The chef was very accommodating and gave us each half on our own plates. Our server was kind had a great personality. I’ve eaten great dinners here in the past but this was my first time there for brunch. I will definitely be back for both brunch and dinner!
Heard so many good things about this place from foodie friends and it did not disappoint! This is a true farm-to-table dining experience!
Loved the ambiance: small, exclusive, quaint, and just lovely. We were warmly greeted by the host, and seated at the best table there was (we did have reservations on a Saturday night). Our server was personable and just really down to earth, heard his recommendations and they were spot on.
Ordered the meat and cheese platter for starters. The steak was probably one of the best steaks we've had in a while. The trout dish was lovely - slight crisp on the skin side and soft and flaky on the top. Normally I do not like to consume fish skin, but it was slightly crispy and had so much flavor that I did not mind it and cleaned the plate! The chorizo cornbread dish was to die for and was a fantastic choice.
Overall, it was a wonderful first-time experience! Can't wait to go back.
Exquisitely fluffy eggs on the biscuits and gravy. Scrumptiously sweet fresh fruit on the french toast. Definitely not the last time we will be dining here!
Our friends recommended the Butterscotch Oreo pudding, we only had dessert. Did not disappoint. The place has a neat atmosphere, would go back try the food.
Phenomenal. We were comfortable in our seating and with our server— all the staff was lovely. Server was well informed on the menu and how a group our size should order. The food is beyond words worth it! Looking forward to returning.
