Went today for lunch and it was a very unpleasant experience - they were incredibly slow (20+ minutes after ordering until my food was ready)after waiting about ten minutes I was told they didn’t have Italian bread so I got a bagette instead. I asked for my coffee so I could be drinking it while waiting for the sandwich and was given attitude for standing at the counter. The reason I was standing there was because I saw them making a sandwich, which I appeared to be mine. I had asked for no tomato on it and there was tomato so I questioned it. It was my sandwich and they then removed the tomatoes but did not remake it. Upon getting back to the office and trying the sandwich - the bread was very stale and the sandwich had little to no flavor. Certainly not worth the wait. I would have preferred to send this directly to the establishment instead of a public venue however I did not see a website/contact information to do so in that manner.

Been working in downtown Providence for over 10 years and there is a reason why this place has been in business for decades-- it is an AWESOME place to grab breakfast or lunch. I have seen many restaurants and delis come and go over the years, their still in business because their food is homemade on premises with FRESH ingredients. Their prices cannot be beat, too. I've also used them to cater my business meetings and was happily shocked at the range of catering they offer--delicious breakfast and lunch options...chicken marsala, parm, pasta dishes, pretty much anything you want, they will accommodate. I also like that they are family owned and you can tell they take great pride in their food: daily health conscious specials like avocado toast, quinoa bowls, great Brussels sprouts, and their sandwiches are always with high quality turkeys, hams and beefs, not the pressed artificial junk you get at a lot of delis. I always get one of their fresh baked muffins or bagels for breakfast. (Sometimes an egg sandwich made with REAL eggs they crack) and for lunch I vary between Italian grinder if I am ignoring calories or one of their fresh salads with their yummy chicken breast if I am being calorie conscious. Hands down, the best quick breakfast, lunch and catering place place in downtown providence. Delicious. You won't be disappointed.
