Review Elements - Princeton

I actually felt like I was in the Netflix series, The Chef's Table. The experience was worth every penny. We did the 5 course meal and we got way more food than we expected. It was hard not to try the bread even though we wanted to save room. Everything from start to finish was prepared and looked like artwork. My absolute favorite was the Wagyu beef dish and the blueberry dessert as seen in the pictures. Kudos to the staff and servers who made the experience flawless.

I came here on a date with my new girlfriend. The place was clean and for the most part organized. I am all about value for my meal, not the price. Here is where it takes a small turn downward. The food was pretty good, but what I received for what I paid was not worth it. My bill with wine was about $425. That is a lot for two people. Not the best value. But here is the kicker, they did not give me the opportunity to give a tip, they charged me 20% on my bill. My tip was added on for almost $80. i find this unacceptable. My waiter was pretty good, that is not the issue, they are forcing my tip at 20% without my permission. NOT good. Plus the tip was on the alcohol as well, which is also not where the tip should be placed. There is nowhere on line in which I saw they would Automatically put on a 20% tip, nor did they tell me on arrival. If I were not on a date, in a new relationship, I would have made this an issue, but I decided not to at the time. They will just not see my business again in the future. This decision is based on this restaurant being slick and mandating my tip choice. What if my service was poor, I still need to give the predetermined 20% tip. Not good management choice. Be careful when you go here.

What a great and amazing culinary experience. Service was phenomenal. Highly recommended for special occasions.

The staccato was delicious! It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the wine. Plus the deal included a large wine variety! Service was very friendly and timely.

The food was out of this world. It took my taste buds to a magical place with so many flavor combinations I've never experienced, and even made my eyes roll. It was my birthday and the chefs signed a card for me. I kind of feel like I have signatures from famous people now. Thank you Elements!!

The soft-boiled, smoked quail eggs are to die for. Went for the standard 5 course meal with wine pairings. Excellent tagliatelle, salmon, sea bass, ribeye & desserts. Wines were very well matched to the course. It was a great treat for our anniversary dinner. Might have been the best restaurant meal I've ever had. Definitely in the top 10. My wife & I are already looking for an excuse for the next visit.

Great place to have a unique gourmet dinner . We truly enjoyed our anniversary chef tasting menu dinner ! So if you live in NJ and you want to experience a unique dinner without driving to the city ( NYC) , Element is the place to go !

My twin sister and I just celebrated our 50th birthday with a Grand Tasting and wine pairing at Elements restaurant located on Witherspoon St. in the quintessential college town of Princeton, NJ. Elements is an upscale restaurant offering an exquisite and personal dining experience. The restaurant is located on the second floor. We were seated in their beautiful glass walled section of the dining area that afforded us a view of the beautiful city lights, which added to an already charming atmosphere. The sous chefs personally delivered each of their dishes to our table, sharing with us the different ingredients and preparations that went into creating the multiple levels of flavor and textures in each dish. Our wonderful sommelier served our wine describing each of them and their character which made for the perfect pairing. We found our dinner to be amazing, delicious and could not have asked for a more wonderful evening. Hats off to the incredible, warm and welcoming staff for an absolutely delicious and amazing experience! We look forward to going back to Elements.

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary at Elements last night. Such an amazing night. The most incredible food with service to match. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and professional. I had the Chef's Tasting and EVERYTHING was perfect, one of the best tasting experiences I have had (if not the best). It was our second visit, first at the new location. We live about an hour away but it is worth the drive. I was given a gift certificate for Chef for the Day with Chef Anderson a few years back unfortunately my work schedule never worked out but it was a treat to watch the whole kitchen in action last night. Thanks to everyone for making a special night even more unforgettable. Looking forward to many more visits.

The best dinning experience in the state Best food I ever had Loved all the attention to detail the staff did for the guests at the restaurant. Highly recommend Elements to everyone will be a repeated guest.

Enjoyed it tremendously.... as foodies, we have been to our share of Michelin- starred restaurants... this one deserves a star, for sure... for other foodies: we put it above Per Se.... that should tell you something... some courses are better than others, but overall , an amazing dining experience... you dont have to go to the City to have a great exquisite meal...

First visit this past weekend. It was an experience I really wasn't prepared for. Overwhelmed by the attention to detail down to timing of service, order of dishes and temperature and texture of every piece of food. Each dish presented something that knocked my socks off. The friendliness of the staff keeps everything light, this is not an uptight venue. I loved the wines offered for the tasting dinner, they were unique and perfectly matched to the menu. The sommelier was enthusiastic, very receptive to questions and clearly takes a lot of pride in what he does. Amazing job by every single person there from the front of the house to the waitstaff and of course the very talented chefs in the kitchen.

One of the best all-around dinning experiences I have ever had! The atmosphere was amazing and the restaurant's huge open kitchen was the perfect backdrop. You can see, feel and taste the chef's passion with every bite. The food was complex, yet simple and delicate. If you want something truly unique, this is the spot.

Exceptional service. I highly enjoyed the presentation of the food and the pairing of flavors! One of my favorites was the quail egg. Oh and the carrots. A taste I will never forget, delicious!

Unmatched talent out of this kitchen - do not miss

Have been to elements on several occasions but this visit was the best. Matt made our experience exceptional starting with a brief explaination of some wine. The lunch may very we'll be the best lunch I ever had. Don't walk, run to Elements

Princeton's Finest !! From the staff to the amazing food !!

Great first time. We were celebrating our 17th weddibg anniversary and wanted to do somwthing special without having to go to the city. True fine dining experience. Pristine service and great atmosphere!

Still haven't eaten here, but I'm dying to. I recommend it based on others' recommendations, how attractive a place it is, and how nice the cooks were when I dropped off food.

Absolutely flawless. Every course, every dish. Service impeccable. Try the Chef's tasting.

Sit by the open kitchen if possible. Lovely mixologist bar as well.
