Review Olivas Mexican Food - Prescott Valley

When I first walked in and saw all the best awards hanging on the wall I thought to myself, ok this is going to be great. But instead it wasn't so great. Salsa was good, it was freshly made. I had the tamales I had were a big disappointment. The sauce was heavily salted, the mass of the tamales were very season, but the meat was very non-existent. And was meat there was, was very over cooked, and was almost mush. The rice was again heavily salted and the beans as well, and they seemed water down,band other than salt, no season as well. The service was almost as bad as well. And the place itself, I don't even know if I can even began to describe, area's of the wall was not paint all the way, and you can see where someone left off, and didn't bother to finish the area. Would not recommen this place.

We love coming here anytime we come visit Prescott. But yesterday's service wasn't great :/ we had a long day and drive my boys were hungry and it took a very long time to get any food so of course they got anxious and loud which was embarrassing enough but then the cook in the kitchen we could clearly see started to give us dirty looks and kept telling us to shhhhh. Needless to say as soon as we got the food we hurried and packed it up to go and left. I really loved this place before this experience.

Excellent mexican food. Great service and reasonable prices. Salsa an chips were very good. It's a bit run down and restroom was yucky.

I have been going to Oliva's since I was young and I love this restaurant! They have great Mexican food, friendly service and they're always so fast! We waited a bit this time, but the restaurant packed. Their pollo fundito and Sonoran enchiladas are great. I tried the seafood enchiladas this time, which was great! I highly recommend the flan and fried ice cream.

Honestly this is by far my favorite Mexican food restaurant! We’ve been going here for as long as I can remember, when I was younger. Visiting my parents, always make it a point to go out for lunch. Still have yet to find a restaurant in the valley that compares. I just love the food, how fresh it always is. And what I really love is the consistency of how good it always taste! The owner is wonderful, She seems to always be helping out and is truly a wonderful lady. If going up north I recommend stopping to get a bite

I love this restaurant!! Don't think I could complain about anything. The cheese enchiladas and green corn tamales here are my favorite. The service is also wonderful as well!

Love the place, love the food but when you let an old fool put on Fox propaganda channel at a restaurant for EVERYONE to have to endure? No way, no thanks. Went where I can eat in peace. Spent a good bit too.

Prompt seating and drinks. Generous servings of good traditional Mexican food. Frequent call-back checks by server. Friendly.
