If heaven were a sushi spot on earth it would be Bonsai 2. I have been coming here for years and I swear it just keeps getting better. From the delicious, fresh, incredible rolls, to the salads and app, Bonsai never disappoints. I’m seriously addicted to this place and would recommend it for takeout, date night, lunch, brunch or all of the above! If you love good sushi, you will fall head over heels for Bonsai.

Finally stepped into Bonsai II for lunch after writing my review of the original Bonsai location. Man was I surprised at this upscale elegant and softly lit setting. Much more seating than the original Bonsai and same outstanding food for the price. Generous portions. We always end up taking home left overs with the 3 roll lunch special. Around 11:45am, we were the first customers welcomed in that day. A calm quiet atmosphere, perfect first-date venue and its wheelchair accessible. Highly recommend!

Best sushi in Poughkeepsie! The green dragon roll is my fav! Love their 4 season rolls. Their fried calamari is out of this world good!!!! Their chicken and steak teriyaki is the best I've ever had not to salty not to garlic just perfect.

We have been coming here since we moved to the area in 2010. We have never had a bad experience. The restaurant is well maintained and has a nice atmosphere. The service is good. Our whole family love the place. My wife and I usually order the Bento Box. Our kids usually order a special roll. The miso soup is very good. The dressing that comes one the salad for the Bento Box is awesome!

My tempura main was tasty and the portion generous. Ditto for the squid appetizer. Service was good and decor was tasteful, not at all shabby and not pretentious. We'd never have expected such good quality in a strip mall.

The food is good, the portions aren't outside of the sushi. Ordered a seafood soup that only comes in one size (large) and the "seafood" consisted of one shrimp and one piece of imitation crab. There was enough cabbage to feed a village however. Absolutely ridiculous they do that to people.

The eel rolls had such little eel I couldn't even taste it. It was basically just rice and cream cheese. What a rip off. The salmon cream cheese roll was quite perfect by contrast. Leaves me pretty confused at how to rate this place.
