Had a wonderful dinner last night at Farmers and Chefs. The outdoor seating is fabulous, service excellent. The Pulled Pork and fries were sinful. My only negative comment is the parking, very limited. I highly recommend this restaurant. Cannot wait to go back.

Had a very good meal of local mushrooms, steak and a shrimp scampi that was the best I’ve ever had. The evening was an early fall, warm night that made it enjoyable to drink some red wine and socialize with a few affable locals and watch folks enjoying their cocktails and meals. Go and enjoy. This was not my first visit and the meals and soups are exquisite. The salmon portion of the salmon salad was overly generous and the greens were very fresh and local. Whether the soup is pumpkin or tomato- you’ll love either. Add a grilled cheese with that tomato and comfort food is made!!

BEST Restaurant in the Hudson valley. Eclectic menu, hudson views and perfectly placed under the walkway over the Hudson! Not to mention the most amazing bartender/owner.

If you are looking for a place that does farm to table in Poughkeepsie look no further! It’s just on point on every ask! The food, the staff, the wine is amazing on all fronts! The food will leave you wanting to come back the very next day. The owner has taken so much time to make sure your visit will be all that you have anticipated and more! Poughkeepsie has many places to eat and drink this should be on your list of must visit!!! Just go and thank me later, you will not be sorry!

I really wanted to like this place but was underwhelmed. The menu looked really good and my husband and I decided to go this past Sunday based on the great reviews. We called two or three days ahead and were easily able to get an early reservation but they advised they were not having brunch because of the college graduations, which we were fine with. Since we had an early reservation, I had no issue parking in the strip of spaces next to the restaurant. Since it was humid, we dined inside. Our server was fantastic, very attentive, friendly and personable and contributed to the experience. We started out with the burrata crostini appetizer which was tasty. It was actually a nice contrast having a thin slice of slightly sweet apple under the cheese. The scallions were good, but the pink peppercorns on top detracted from the flavor of the dish. I understand the approach for contrast (very sweet fig jam, slightly sweet apple, sweet balsamic reduction, cheese) but I didn’t agree that the peppercorns worked. It was a nice appetizer but nothing I couldn’t recreate myself at home. For entrée, I had the pan roasted duck breast. The waitress asked me if mid rare was OK but the duck came out way overcooked and dry. I probably should have sent it back. Everything on the plate tasted good but the meat and asparagus needed salt (duck was nicely seasoned except for salt and being overcooked, mash was delicious). My husband’s burger was cooked properly but also needed salt. My bohemian passion cocktail was fantastic. There were a lot of interesting flavors that worked well together and made a delicious drink (but I like sweet drinks, and it was definitely sweet). My husband’s Results May Cherry was fine, he’s definitely had better old fashioneds and has had higher end bourbon at home. Overall, there was nothing terrible about our meal but also nothing that would make us return.
